  3. Hi Colleen,

I wanted to check and see how you were doing? Did you make your 20 lbs by Christmas? I've set a new goal for myself...20 lbs by March.

  4. Hi Colleen,

Wow your first fill. I just had my 2nd one last week. Both were only small fills. The first one I didn't have any trouble eating and could still eat really anything just smaller amounts but this one is tighter. I've been trying to kick it into gear for my sons 3rd birthday party. I'm down 21lbs since surgery 8/18. I started really exercising about 3 weeks ago and have spend the last week under 20 carbs a day...Then today i weight myself and gained 2.5 lbs. I seem to do better when I don't watch my carbs. I'm hoping to also loose 20 by xmas. Let's keep in touch on the progress.

    Have a great Halloween!

    Beth

  5. Hey Girl, So I stop by to check in on you and WOW I read your PREGNANT!!!!! Well congrats, I am sure your excited but worried at the same time. Your gonna do great..after the little one comes along you will kick it into high gear and get your lbs back!!!

  6. Hey Beth,

I was just checking in on you to see how things are going. I just had my first fill yesterday...that was interesting, but I am ready to kick it in high gear. He put in 6.3 cc's for my first fill..I thought that was a lot but I'm gonna see how I do. Have you had any fills yet? I'm down right around 40lbs and hoping to loose another 20 by xmas *fingers crossed*.

All for now, hope all is well with you!

    Coleen

  7. thank you for posting this. I was wondering what route I should take after my 2 days of liquids. I just had my first fill yesterday and I am still not even close to being hungry or thirsty, I am having to make myself drink.

    Slider foods

what are you eating for your other meals? There are other low carb options that are fast and easy for luch like chicken or tuna salad, string cheese sticks, lunch meat / cheese rollups (I dip them in Mayo) Sugar Free Jello with Redi Whip If your not getting hungry before dinner you should be good to go but if you are then you need to think of other things to eat.

thanks I feel better now :tt1: Island of Adventures really does have some hairy roller coasters right up there with Six Flags over Atlanta so I am glad I will be able to ride them

    Slider foods

I am 3 months post op as well and I eat whatever I want. I have no restrictions regarding my diet accept my 30 grams of non vegetable carbs per day. I have eaten things like a cheeseburger from Mc'Ds and I have had pizza but I went for the thin crust. I haven't had a fill yet as my MD and I are happy with my weight loss thus far. Although these past 2 weeks I have been really struggling to stay within my carb limit so I am thinking of getting a fill on my next appt 9/30
  11. Hey Everyone, I am going on a trip to Univeral Studios Island Of Adventures this weekend and I am wondering if anyone has gone on extreme up-side-down rollercoasters with their bands?

    "Woman" question!

I'm right there too..and I even have cravings now like I never had before...good glory it's all I can do not to eat the kitchen sink lol
  13. Congrats on the surgery. I did find after about the 3rd week I could literally eat ANYTHING I wanted including a McD's mighty kid double cheese happy meal (shame) I think I had to mentally see I was going to be able to eat those things because I know for me once I CAN'T eat something that is all I want to eat. I try my best to do low carb which is hard to do with kids. I now bring a little stylish lunchbox everywhere I go and I fill it with things I can eat...Like string cheese sticks, lunch meat and cheese roll ups with a small container of mayo to dip it in. My biggest struggle is drinking my water..I am not big drinker to begin so Dr Baptista suggested I drink before I eat and that has really helped and it even helps me stay full longer. It's not easy that's for sure...I have to be aware everyday of what I am putting in my mouth..however if I want a cookie I have ONE otherwise I will eat everything just to not eat that one cookie lol. Keep me posted on your progress :)

  14. Wow that's awesome! I had surgery two weeks ago and I'm just starting to feel like my old self again. That's so exciting about hitting onderland. I have 22 more lbs to go to get there. Are you sticking to the low carb diet? I'm on regular foods now and found it hard this weekend to stick to low carb when i was on the run with the kids. Luckily I could barely eat anything so I didn't do too bad.

  15. Hey Teresa,

Just dropping in to see how you are doing. I have had a really busy summer so I am hoping things settle down now that school is back in session and I can be on here more often. I am doing good...had my 3rd f/u appt with Dr. Baptista today and I am down a total of 38 lbs from the start of my journey and 23 lbs since surgery on 6/19 it has been a little slow but chugging along. I haven't gotten a fill yet because Dr. Baptista is happy with my progress and the percentage of my fat loss. So we shall see! Hows things been going with you?
