Hey there...notateech...what a horrible experience! I don't know what you could have done to rectify the situation, but as long as you are doing well with no meds...stick with it! I am planning on going to the meeting...it will be the first in a long time. I went and met with Monica and liked her a lot...needed to be reminded of what to do to make the band work! Katie -

Hey everyone....I am back! I am coming on my second anniversary of the band, and have lost a total of 30lbs... I have been very discouraged because it took SO long to find my sweet spot...I am not sure if I have even found it yet!! I took a break from the band for the past few months and am now ready to get back into it... I am going to try and make it to the meetings because I need the support... Dr. Robinson actually called ME because I haven't been in...I was completely shocked because I didn't even think he knew who I was!! Looking forward to chatting and sharing with people on this thread...I see a lot of new people have joined!! Katie:) Hi to my old friends Paige and Mel!! -

Hey everyone... Mel "tracked" me down:) LOL!! I just had my year anniversary and all is going well..FINALLY!! It took me 11 months to get restriction, and I will be honest and tell you that I wanted to GIVE UP a lot during that time...even talked about having it taken out! Since I got restrcition, I am down a total of 31 lbs and a ton of inches. I have been swimming and walking. I am happy with the band now, but I still cheat sometimes!! It will be an ongoing process and I need to refresh my commitment now and then!! I am hoping to make it to the Nov. meeting and see those of you I haven't seen in a long time!! -

Hey all! It's me! No, I haven't vanished, just been incredibly busy lately... Had surgery a year ago and down 20 lbs and lots of inches. It has been frustrating, but therapy has helped a lot... I knew I wasn't eating b/c I was just hungry!!! I am still committed to the band, but it did take me 10 months to get restriction!!! I am finally at a point where I KNOW I have the band in... Hi there! I was also banded 6 months ago and it has been slow for me as well... I am only down 10 pounds. I am an emotional eater and a SAHM. I still constantly struggle with what to eat.. -

Hey everyone..sorry to have missed the mtg last night...my husband didn't get home until 7:00..Paige...I got your message, but my phone wasn't charged... I got it last night. Hope all is well with everyone. I FINALLY feel restriction...What a feeling! I now know what I have been missing! It took six months and five six fills to get there... I have been really discouraged in the past few weeks and had a "one on one" talk with Dr. R... he is SO HARD to talk to..he gave me a pretty aggressive fill and told me to stay positive. I am looking forrward to dropping some more weight now! -
It is comforting knowing there are people struggling just like me. I get so discuraged reading post about how much some people have lost. I was banded in Sept. Lost 20 pounds in 2 months and NOTHING SINCE. People at work have stopped saying how good I look, so I feel they know I am struggling. I did however join WW last Thursday. I think I have gained since joining, I am eating more on WW now, I go in for a weigh in Friday so I'll see. I think this area is where I need to post with the rest of us who are struggling. We need to remain positive (that is what I keep telling myself) spring is right around the conner and we are now able to get out and move our fannies.
