I had my Gastric Bypass (Roux-en-Y, Laparoscopic) August 17th 2005, 1 month and 10 days after my 19th birthday. My mother had it the year before and had a lot of progress so it was decided I would do it too to help with the weight but also my mental health as well.
I will update this as time goes on but its now Nov of 2021 and I have kept the weight off. I am at a healthy weight and I feel great. The only issues I have these days are the extra skin on my upper thighs rubbing together and getting chub rub and ruining many pairs of jeans My upper arms are also very flabby thanks to the extra skin. The skin around my stomach isnt too bad but yea.
