  1. So, I’m a few weeks post op and I’m just curious as to how long it took some of you to have your first alcoholic drink post op. I’ve seen most recommend after 6 mos to a year
  2. I’ve been taking benefiber tablets and nothing, tomorrow I will try the powder in crystal light as well. Thank you for your suggestion
  3. I’m 20days out and I’m suffering from constipation. I’m meeting my protein and water goals and I am active throughout the day. I tried milk and magnesium and it doesn’t help. Anyone go through this and have any suggestions?
  4. I am using baby spoons and bowls to eat and I find it to help with portioning my bites
  5. Same, I started purée the day after surgery while at the hospital. But it consisted of yogurt and applesauce. Aside from the protein shakes and liquids of course. Second week I asked the nurse if I could have puréed beans and she said yes but eat very slowly to see if it’s too much for my belly.
  6. Thank you everyone! This helped my anxiety about it.
  7. I’m 4 days post op and this morning it took me 30 mins to sit up from my bed. As I sat up I got an excruciating burning and tugging sensation next to my belly button close to my biggest incision. It also continued throughout the day when getting up from my sofa. Is this normal?
  8. October 12th! Today marks day 4 post op. How’s everyone feeling who’s had it done this past week?
  9. I have a tingly sensation on my right thigh, Almost numbing. Nurse says it can happen and to keep walking and taking in liquids. Has this happened to anyone else? Also how long does it take for the pain to go away so I can sit up easily?
