WoooHOOOO! I just received word a few minutes ago that my insurance has approved my surgery, and that the clinic (which has been backed up for weeks due to COVID) has tentatively scheduled my RNY for March 3. That's only three weeks away! I've been working toward the surgery since January 2021, so this news is more than welcome. I'm crossing my fingers for no more delays, and an unremarkable procedure.

I'm new here. I just received my sleeve surgery date this morning. It's March 2nd!! I'm so excited & nervous.

Hi, my Gastric Bypass date is 3/7. Had to be changed from sleeve due to results of EGD with Bravo showing extreme GERD. I’m excited and scared, thinking about the gas pain everyone describes as horrible.

I have been stalking the COVID hospitalization rates in my area every single day, multiple times a day - obsessively - looking for rates to be going down... and it looks like they are. I am starting to feel somewhat confident that my surgery will happen on March 8th. Fingers crossed!

I have gallbladder removal surgery scheduled for February 3rd. He said that I should feel a lot better a couple weeks after it is out. He thinks it's been making me feel bad for weeks and that may be what has been slowing down my ability to drink and eat enough.
The physician's assistant said I would be back to work in 3-5 days (I work from home). Hopefully I recover quickly because after 5 weeks of leave, I feel like it puts me in a bad spot at work to have to have another surgery again so soon.

I’m on my second day of preop diet. I’m keeping busy by making Soups and cleaning out the refrigerator. That thing is a mess!
