Exciting! There are a few of us scheduled April 19. We should form our own group. Anyone know how??

Golden girl since we are scheduled the same day, I have questions. My preop mtg with dietary snd surgeon is scheduled the first week in April. I finished all my required visits in Oct last year but have been waiting for surgery due to Covid. I am nervous because I haven’t really lost much weight since then. I know I will need to go strict diet for 2 weeks prior to surgery but anyone else who has not lost a lot of weight preop in their own??? I feel like I should’ve done better.

GoldenGirl1321, I am scheduled April 19th too!! Where are you located? I am in Maine, we should keep in contact since our dates are the same. How are you doing, I haven’t lost much weight preprocedure. I have my prep visits scheduled April 4 and April 6 ( dietician and surgeon). Then the prep begins… excited but anxious too!!

Gas can be felt anywhere in stomach and chest area. Can be sharp pains. Many times does go to the shoulder. Will move and get better with walking.

Surgery date April 19th. Looking forward to it but also a bit anxious. Don’t want to do all if this and then be back where I started.

Oh awesome! I didn’t know there was an April group. I am still figuring out how to navigate this forum! 😂😂. Yes, I was an RN for years and went back to get my FNP a few years back. Looking forward to this but also a bit anxious…😀

Hi all! Anyone scheduled for April?? Just got my date April 19th. Anxious about it all but reassuring to see how others have done and their success. Question- how was the 2 wk prep ? I have very limited plan with basically just 1 meal daily and either a protein shake or protein bar other meals. Wondering if I will feel starved ?? Also heard after surgery it’s liquids but appetite is decreased anyway. How Did you all do it??
