Hi sorry I didn’t reply sooner. I didn’t think the pre op diet would be hard. But it was hard. I tend to grab grapes or almonds and I would go to do it out of habit. I am SO nervous. I have never had a planned surgery. I’ve had 2 c sections. 1st Was an emergency and 2nd I was put under unplanned and I had a kidney stone removed but I was a emergency again. So I didn’t have time to think about it. And after waiting so many years I just can’t believe it’s happening so the negatives of what could happen during surgery cloud my mind.

I found out today that I approved and my surgery date is Sept 15. It’s so surreal. I wanted it for years.But didn’t pursue it and when I finally did my insurance at the time didn’t cover any type of weight loss. It’s been 18 years of waiting. When I was 23 I had Kaiser but thought the 6 mos of classes was too long ?‍♀️?. I look at cute outfits that I never even glanced at before and think “wow I will be able to wear that” I’m in shock. I’m nervous about the actual surgery as well. Ahhh my emotions are all over the place.

Hi, I know a few people who went to Beverly Hills Physicians. Dr. Mona Lisa Misra. One of the ladies that works in my doctors office and her daughter both went to her. My doctor has sent people to her for years. I had my original consult with her but unfortunately my insurance didn’t cover her. I can only go to a center of excellence facility (not many to choose from)
