I thought I may have been the only one that imagines a petulant, tantrum throwing child. My "child" is more of a baby, who sleeps (when things are going well), then can be that baby who is about to wake up in a bad mood, twisting and turning and frowning (usually if I have eaten a little too much) then once in a while, the devil personified....

Well, this certainly went in an unexpected direction.

I think the OP basically wanted us to tell her that there was some way for her to both lose her weight and make no further changes (because "sacrifices suck").

I did want to add one thing, though, for the future people who read this. Your body can carry an INSANE amount of poop. So the OP, starting her post-colon-cleanse weight, already was down as much as ten pounds (I 💩 you not!) just from having it all out of her.

And it doesn't matter which scale you use as long as you use the same scale every time.

You know, I'm almost 4 months post-op. I have yet to have hair loss... Pain--and I have had a few surgeries in my lifetime--is not that bad. They will probably give you a few pain pills. Use them. After the first few days, you should start to feel better. I have had nausea--but figured a way to cope with that. Just bought some new clothes this past weekend, in a smaller size--nothing feels better than that, lol!

Sacrifices DO suck, but that's called being an adult. I don't want to do my expense reports but I have to if I want to keep my job. I don't want to do my laundry or take a shower, but I have to because that's what an adult does.
I HATE exercise, but I do it anyway, because it gets me to my goals. I miss eating big Desserts and big meals, definitely. If you're looking for sympathy, you've got mine.
But... if you want your outcomes to change, you have to change your inputs

If I'm honest, I think part of the problem is that you went into this for the wrong reasons, and because of that, you don't have the motivation to do the work necessary to get the results you want. It sounds like you wanted a miracle cure that would melt the weight off without you having to make any sacrifices or changes, and it just doesn't work that way. Granted, the surgery you chose doesn't have the results others do, but it does still produce results if you work the program. But you sound resistant to any of the suggestions being given, unless someone else does it for you. You have to take accountability for yourself, what and how you eat, and the pitfalls and successes you have. You get out what you put in. I don't think your doctors were correct in letting you have a WLS knowing your psychological issues and that you only wanted it for vanity's sake. This is a major step that requires lifelong changes. Those who transition know that and are ready and willing to make the changes to live in the bodies they always believed they should have. But transitioning isn't about vanity. It's about feeling and believing you are a different gender and getting the procedures done to make their outside match their insides. I believe you can do this. And I believe you want it. But you will have to find the motivation and the desire to do the work and help yourself before it will work. The results you want are 100% within reach, as long as you're willing to change your mindset and do the work. And I know you can, if you want it bad enough.

I am 3 1/2 months out, and have struggled with nausea/queasiness every day. They say it will get better, but not yet. There ARE meds-ask your doctor! I am on two different ones, and after a couple of months, started taking more of them than prescribed--after looking them up and finding out his dosage was on the low end, and I was not going to poison myself. Call your doc-and be VOCAL!

This may sound like a weird question, but which scale did you use to determine your starting weight?
Here is what I mean: if the 251 mark is based on your home scale and your home scale is off by 15 pounds, doesn't that mean you started at 266 on the work scale?

Me too - really noticed this over the last couple of weeks - I thought there was something wrong with my office chair!
Also bath sheet wrapping around me completely with an overlap.
And the tiniest sliver of light between my mid-thighs even when I press my legs together.
Amazing what encourages people, isn't it?

I'm almost 4 months post-op, (I put the wrong date for my surgery, and can't seem to find how to change it) and the only thing I can say is that there is NO NORMAL. It will come off. Your body is still in "shock." Don't get discouraged.

I got all those comments today and my dad pulled me aside and told me that “enough is enough and I need to STOP losing weight because now (according to him) I look skeletal and unhealthy” . Attaching a pic because I am not “skeletal” 🙄

I’m not that old (I’m 39) but when I went to Starbucks the other day the guy at the counter greeted me by name. I was taken aback a bit but just took my coffee and smiled… but I’m so blah at 6 am that I’m just not focused enough to notice details like that.

i got to work and one of my students noticed there was a heart and a phone number on my Starbucks cup. 😱
i teach fifth grade so you can imagine how crazy the girls went over the information that the Starbucks guy has a crush on their teacher 🤦🏼‍♀️.

it is odd when you’ve gone your whole life with men never looking at you like that 🤷🏼‍♀️

LOL at my age-69-I tend to get the worried look and "Are you doing all right?" Being Southern by birth and the grace of God, imagine that sentence with our Southern drawl... "Honey, you look like you goin' dry up and blow away! Are you feelin' all riight?"
