    4 month stall

Thank you, yeah the scale not moving is what’s stressing me out. Gaining my thighs and butt back via exercise after losing them post VSG had been nice.
  3. Hi All, I had surgery 10 months ago and hit my 18 month goal at 6 months. However, since then I fluctuate 2+/- lbs for the last 4 months. I have lost 2 pants sizes, about 6 inches from my waist, and gained about 3 inches on my hips. I can’t get past 140/142 lbs on the scale. I have increased my protein, watched my carb intake, increased my exercise and still haven’t dropped past 140 lbs. has any had this happen? My dietician still hasn’t responded after multiple attempts of outreach.

    Pregnancy

Hi All, I am 3 months post VSG and found out I am pregnant, it was unexpected and I’m nervous. My surgeon says it safe and I am meeting with the dietitian to make sure I get enough protein and nutrients to sustain. Has anyone else been through this? TIA.

On my 2 week pre op liquid diet

Hi! I am 9 days post op VSG and I had the barium swallow test prior and had labs and my liver looked great supposedly. Went on the liquid diet prior to surgery, lost an additional 8 lbs and day of surgery in recovery the surgeon said he almost threw in the towel. He said my liver was so large and it was adhered to my spleen. The normal 30 minute surgery became a 2.5 hour long surgery and the only reason why he did it was because of all the work I’ve done the last 2 years. The liquid diet is hard, but your attitude and faith in yourself has to be strong. It’s not a no to eating that food, it’s a not right now. You got this!
  6. Hello All! I am day 5 post op and I still haven’t been able to tolerate anything chicken based. Has this happened to anyone else? I have tried chicken broth, bone broth, cream of chicken and cannot tolerate it. I have adjusted to veggie and beef with no problem. I have heard our taste buds change, but this is an aversion, it makes me nauseated and makes me cramp. The nurses stopped it at the hospital too so that I could be discharged.
