That's all healthy, real food that is full of nutrients and Protein. I wouldn't beat yourself up about eating that at all.

If it's any comfort, I can eat that now (two months post-op) and just had a barium swallow and my sleeve is exactly fine. Don't freak out. Just weigh yourself once a week or so, and have an "oh sh*t" weight where if you get there you will go back to basics to get back down. So if your goal was 50 kg, maybe you say at 53 kg it's time to get serious (it being a lot easier to lose 3 kg than 10 kg).

Dalila you are doing great! You’ve reached your goal and you need to be a bit kinder to yourself. It sounds like you’re making very sensible food choices. Everyone stretches their pouches - you would not be able to sustain enough nutrition for a normal life if you didn’t. You are a success story! Enjoy your yogurt with strawberries and Peanut Butter - it must slip down very easily and sounds nutritious, tasty and highly digestible. Brilliant!

Could you tell me your calorie range as of now maintenance wise??? Im now focused of a healthy lifestyle of course.. counting my calories and weighing daily. I’ve become actually severely obsessed and it’s causing my body to lose weight because of fear. Do you treat your body like ‘normal’? **** man… the struggle is real but thanks so much you are so helpful ❤️

I’ve had my surgery last year June and struggling mentally, fear of going back to the way I looked before… I’m constantly wondering if our bodies will gain weight faster then people who haven’t had the surgery do you know what I mean? even if we eat healthy will we gain weight faster or more because we have had the surgery?! Questions: once we have reached our goal weight do we follow a normal ‘healthy lifestyle’ and calorie intake for maintenance that you can set on my fitness pal? Or do I still only consume + - 1000 calories? I’m so confused because I do not want to my old self but I also can not lose more weight because I have gone under. PLEASE HELP.

I am only seven months out so I can’t say from experience but if I were you I would slowly add in healthy fats like avocado, nuts/ nut butters and healthy oils as well as healthy Snacks but maybe at 100 calories at a time till I found my maintenance calorie amount. You may lose a little more doing it this way but you can always gain it back if you really want to. Many people have about a ten pound gain after they reach their goal anyways.

I would think it was more about the volume rather than weight. If you are concerned speak to your dietician or surgeon.
Given that your profile shows you are in a good place so you must be doing right regardless of the weight of the food you are eating.

that sounds pretty normal. I went more by calories -- I was eating 1000-1200 a day when I got to be about a year out. Since I hit maintenance (at 20 months out), I've been in the 1500-1700 range.
a small plateful of food when you're over a year out is pretty normal. That's about what I eat now. No one would be able to tell I've had weight loss surgery at this point. I eat about as much as my never-been-obese women friends do who are watching their weight.
if you aren't gaining weight, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Just because something's on YouTube doesn't mean it's true. Talk to your surgery team/nutritionist.

I agree it’s not always the size of the plate or the total weight of your meal. Calories & nutritional value are more important. Measure/weigh your food separately so you can accurately track what you’re consuming. Soft liquidy foods like yoghurt will go through your tummy more quickly then a solid Protein like meat. I can easily eat a full serve of rolled oats made with a cup of milk & about 15-20 blueberries for breakfast & I often eat about 1/2 cup of diced red paw paw (papaya) mixed in a tub of yoghurt (160g).
If you’re consuming only 900-1200 calories, you can’t be eating to excess with portions that are too large.
You need to work out the calories you need to maintain your weight & not lose or gain. Take the caloric ranges as a guide only. We’re all different & factors like age, activities levels, genetics, etc, all affect the actual calories your body needs to function versus what someone else needs.
Have a chat with your dietician.

Thank you. I am tracking my calories. I see now that it’s normal one year post op to eat between 900-1200 calories where most apps say to maintain I’ll need 1400-1600. I think I’ll need to seek some medical advice but I thought I’d come on here first. Glad I’ve found this forum. Thanks again

I’m freaking out a little. Over a year post sleeve and For Breakfast I eat 150g quark (low fat Greek yogurt kind of) with 70g strawberries and 30g Protein granola. I’ve watched way too many videos on YouTube that state after one year your plate should only be a total of 170grams. It’s a full children’s bowl. Is that normal? 😞 dinner I eat really healthy but it weight up to 250-300grams total of protein and veggies. I have not gained any weight but it’s scary to see that I’m able to eat almost a full small plate of food
