I was told dumping for the sleeve was getting the feeling like something stuck in my chest. I’ve had it a couple of times along with feeling nausea and even throwing up if I eat too much or something with too much sugar. Once that happens I don’t eat those foods again.

I was told no caffeine. I do drink a decaf coffee with my protein shake chocolate, vanilla or strawberry, plus a few pumps of sugar free calorie free syrup.

Also forgot to add that I am trying to stop snacking. I have a cheese stick here, protein chips, yogurt, fruit, cottage cheese. My guilt has been Teddy Grahams and Ritz baked and thin chips. I know this is bad and is probably the cause of my long long stall. I do see inches coming off however.

Hi Everyi e me again with another stall question. So for the past 3-4 months I have been at a stall. I keep gaining and losing the same 1-2 pounds. I have 20 more pounds to go to reach the doctor’s weight loss goal. I will be one year August 16. I also changed my exercise routine. My eating changed also as I am eating more foods as opposed to drinking my protein. Is this normal?

Hello. Stalls are common. Everyone’s advise is on point. Stay off the scale and log your food. It helps

Thanks. I know I am not alone in this journey but some days it feels like it.

I had knee pain but it was like 2-3 weeks after. Right knee only and at night. I sleep with my knee on a pillow or I put a pillow between my knees. I’m six weeks out now and no more knee pain.

Help. So depressed been in a stall since week 3 non Monday will enter week 6. Also I think I am a slow loser. What has anyone here done to break the stall and to break the depression?

Ok. I’m at a stall. I’ve only lost roughly 15-17 lbs. the stall is 2 lbs that keep leaving and coming back. I’m at week 5 and will be at week 6 on Monday. Been in this stall since around the start of week 3. Ive been doing purée foods but not really. Trying to do mostly liquids. Have a really hard tine getting 64 oz of water down. Tried puréed recipes from a gastric sleeve cookbook: turkey chili, noodlessLagnasa,cottage cheese, soft eggs with cheese, refried beans, navy bean soup, chicken broth. Chicken tortilla soup. Everything puréed. But I am so depressed because weight not coming off. I feel as if I did this urgent and now I can’t even get this weight off this way. Anyone else feel like this. I am going to go back to just all liquids to see if this will help.

Had gastric sleeve on August 16th. In addition to my sleeve I also had to have my hiatal hernia repaired. But, instead of the hernia being in my abdominal cavity it was in my chest cavity. The doctor told my family that the hernia was huge but her repairs it and it was in my chest. When I talked to the doctor he told me it was the biggest hernia he had seen all year and that everything else went fine. I went home the same day as my surgery at 12:30 pm after walking having fluids go down and tolerating pain. My afterwards… the pain was real but I can’t take a lot of pain meds they make me sick. Was getting water down but if I took too much in then the pain was real. Super super tired. I was given an abdominal binder and an ice pack which was a life saver. I was losing 1 lb a day.

So my date is Monday, August 16th. It got real yesterday after talking to the OR nurse.
