mine is at 10 am the same day, was not nervous but the closer Monday comes the more I think about it :blink:wishing it was already over. This time last year if you would have asked me how much I weighed I would have been 110 pounds heavier. Been a long ride, and having to get new cloths is becoming a chore

Search three week stall and you'll find out very quickly, you're not alone.
Keep in mind - you're still recovering from major surgery...you removed most of a major organ. You're consuming MUCH less food than you did a few weeks ago. You're moving your body. So your body is like, "what the heck is going on? What are you doing to me?"
Be kind to your body - you've put it thru a lot. It's going to continue to recover and realize that things are OK and let loose of some weight. Be patient!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is very normal, and yes it happens to the majority of people post op. So common it has been named The Three Week Stall.

I have been rowing the ol 'low carb boat' for a while now...I notice that when I stall on weight loss (or gain!) it is because I am eating too much cheese or dairy. Lawdy, I love me some cheese!
I also kind of listen to myself when I think 'OK, what should I cut back on or lay off for a bit?' Usually the first thing I start to defend is what I am having issues with. cheese or foods with too much sodium are usually the culprits.
One of my fave low-carb meals/snacks is a chicken salad with spinach and feta crumbles with an oil & vinegar dressing. Or a slice of turkey with a piece of cheese (see, here I go with the cheese), shrimp cocktail, some almonds...Pinterest has some awesome boards, too!
Keep your head up, you are not alone You got this!

Same as what I eat now, but in much smaller quantities of course
    Dense protein:
    eggs
    tuna (Any fish, really)
    Shrimp (Any shellfish, really)
    Lean red meats (occasionally)
    chicken
    Turkey
SOME dairy (IE REAL cheese, REAL butter, but in limited quantities)
ONLY get your carbs from veggies, and limit starchy veggies (asparagus, cauliflower, potatoes, etc...) stick to mostly green veggies and salads. Stay away from iceberg lettuce and try to do romaine and spinach for salads as much as possible.
NO SUGAR (Or as little as you can possibly get away with)
Snacks: cheese, almonds, Jerky, low fat, low sugar greek yogurt
    Drink TONS of water!
I GUARANTEE you will lose what you need to lose and then some if you religiously stick to this and track calories.
    Good Luck!!

I used the HCG diet for my 6 month diet and it worked for me, when I hit the wall with a stall I would have an apple day.
I got to eat 6 large apples , with nothing to drink or eat other than the apples. the next morning I would be back on track and losing weight again, as for the Proteins I would eat organic extra lean pork, chicken or steak limited to 3 oz precooked weight. Also was on 500 calories a day. makes the 800 I am on now easy to do lol. I am doing the liquid diet and get to go in Monday morning to have my surgery.
It was what worked for me. Hope it helps.

This brings me to my other post on a different thread. The only testing I had done was an EKG, chest xr, and bloodwork. I didn't have an endoscopy, or ultrasound or cat scan... What if he sees something while he in there?? Are there signs/symptoms of a hernia?

I had to do a 3 month weigh in and my weight went up and down, month 1 was 283, month 2 was 293 and month 3 I weighed in at 285 and I was still approved for my surgery. I think it depends on your surgeon and PCP, not so much your insurance. Clearly we are gaining and losing all the time and that is why we need the surgery in the first place. I don't think you should worry at all. I think you should be excited instead that you are half way there...Good Luck!!!

Ditto. I did nothing, I was required to not lose weight but even if I had been higher bmi I think they would have just required that I not gain anything.
