I suspect those pounds are a special bouncy kind that come back as quickly as they fall off. 😉 Try to aim for steady loss instead, that's my advice (not that you asked for any).
I really appreciate this thread and its details. Very welcome reading for pre-oppers. Many thanks!

oh my goodness - yesterday was a big NSV for me - I went on a 10 mile bike ride! I still can't believe I rode that far! My legs were jelly at the end and I am sore today, but it was soooooo fun! Being on my bike makes me feel like a happy kid.

I am 62 and almost 4 months into my journey, you better believe I will get my breasts done if I end up with soap-in-a-rope boobs. I have to live with them.

Well done, fellow Tarheel! (I'm in CO currently, but NC is home to me.) Such spectacular accomplishments are very encouraging to newbies, so go ahead and toot that horn -- you deserve it.

Thank you everyone, I have found this very helpful. I have surgery at the end of July and I am most worried about nausea and no energy. It has been reassuring to read the posts.

I feel good. I also feel grateful to have had this available to me. It's so hard to believe that in seven months I've lost 110 lbs. It's just fantastic.

I agree with the advice to consult your surgeon, but what you are describing is very common. I referred to it as a "cramp", some people call it a "pinch".
For me, it would hit about two seconds after taking a sip...one one-thousand, two one-thousand, CRAMP. It lasted a while for me, it went away in week 3.
Definitely run it by your surgeon just in case, but don't stress too much, a lot of us have been through it. Hope you feel better soon!
    Edit:
Just to help you feel better, I did a quick search and found a few examples of other people who had that pain after drinking:

It's super common, but worth mentioning to your surgeon.

Nothing for which to apologize. I've enjoyed reading all the replies, and I appreciate them. (Thanks, y'all!) Thread drift on message boards sounds more like natural conversation to me.
