My anxiety is through the roof. I am thinking and over thinking every complication and bad possible out come.

You said it, not us. ;-D

It's entirely natural to be nervous right before surgery. Here's wishing you a good night's rest, a safe, uneventful surgery tomorrow, and a quick recovery so you can get home and get busy losing. You got this!

I know I can add my Protein powder to broth but would really like to have some type of Protein Shake.

Like adding unflavored protein powder to milk (low-fat dairy, unsweetened almond, or soy) and shaking vigorously?

Ask your clinic about using PB2 that soon after surgery -- probably fine if you pour it through a fine-mesh strainer after blending, but of course you should check with your team first.

  3. I'm still pre-op, but I can't wait to get rid of these gigantic clothes. I understand the superstitious resistance, since I hung onto maternity clothes long after they had gone out of style because I was afraid I'd end up pregnant again. But regain this weight again, after so much effort and risk? Nope, not gonna happen. This wardrobe will be history.

I have been trying so hard to eat a little bit more, even if its just one or two more bites. I also have been eating carbs, but nothing is working. I will call the nutritionist tomorrow to see what I should do.

Any good news, @HealthyLifeStyle? I've been thinking of you and hoping your nutritionist was able to help. Have you considered the very-high-calorie nutrition shakes? I know Boost makes one that's 700 calories in one tiny juice-box-sized container. (My sister has to drink them while undergoing chemotherapy.)

I've seen videos of people who lost like 30+ pounds the first month. Some people who lost like 75 by month 3.

I suspect those pounds are a special bouncy kind that come back as quickly as they fall off. 😉 Try to aim for steady loss instead, that's my advice (not that you asked for any).

I really appreciate this thread and its details. Very welcome reading for pre-oppers. Many thanks!
