I can't hardly believe it's been almost a year! YOU are doing GREAT! I am loving "less space" taking up! I feel like the weight loss was slow, I felt "stuck and hovering" around the same # for a LONG few months! I kept on doing my thing, it's slowly coming off. I am ALMOST to ONEDERLAND!
  3. Congrats!

I’m struggling a bit, weight loss is very, very slow. BUT diabetes is GONE! I’ve adjusted to my new lifestyle and love my long daily walks, just wish the scale would budge, I’ve been hovering around the same number for 6 weeks
  5. Thanks

Can you believe that it has almost been a year?! @Tripletsmom1971: your numbers look fantastic! I am plugging away. Weight loss is definitely going slower, but still fairly steady. I am enjoying taking up less space, for sure 🙂 I am curious to know how everyone else is doing too!

Hello all! I had the SADI-S on July 24, 2020. I weighed 393 pounds at my highest and 368 on the day of surgery. I am so excited because today I finally made it to onederland! When I started out I was hoping to get at least down to 200 pounds. I am so happy to be officially under that number now and I hope to go even lower. My weight has slowed down a lot in the last few months and sometimes it's hard to stay motivated but I am not giving up! My wonderful, supportive husband gave me the shirt I'm wearing in this pic to Celebrate. It came last week and he wouldn't let me open it and I thought it was something for the anniversary of the day we met, which also happens to be 18 years ago today. I was so surprised by the shirt.
Anyway. I just wanted to share because I am so excited and had to tell someone who understands.

I've tried the adventure fit, I HATED the lifting your knees part - wonder if I'll be any better at it now?? I think I had it on easy too 😎 That is an incredible loss, well done you. Food regrets.. not being able to eat as much as you want and then be in food coma the rest of the day - however I found a solution, I ate everything I would normally eat in the 1-2 days over the course of a week. Small bit of steak here, different type of potato salad everyday (my tummy doesn't like potatoes but it's my favourite food, so a mouthful every other hour mwahaha..)
    Happy New Year

Down 110 pounds since surgery on June 20. I’ve decided this week to not worry about losing and just maintain. I’ll start losing again next week.
I find that I can eat absolutely anything, just not a lot of it. Yes…you CAN have three dessert ( answering the above post), but just one bite of each. Not every day. Not even every other day. But once in a while.
I have begun to try and eat more normally in the past four weeks. I get in my Protein and nutrition….but I’ve begun to eat pizza and an occasional cookie or maybe tortilla chips with salsa. But I have two bites of pizza, one bite of a cookie, or 11 tortilla chips. I’m eating it all but very very consciously.

  12. Congrats!

My surgery was 6/21/21 and I am down 54.8 pounds since then. The most thrilling things so far have been 1) flying and not needing a seat belt extender and 2) my tennis shoe becoming untied when I was walking and I was able to bend over to tie it right there without finding a bench to sit on to do so! Excited to see what is ahead in this journey!

Team June 2021, I hit my 6 month mark today!

Since surgery, I am down a little over 80 pounds and a little over 100 pounds. Overall, I feel so much better! My daily feelings vary though. Some days I feel on top of the world (very healthy/slim) and other days, I feel like I have a long way to go and wonder if I will ever make it to goal (very fat). I have more good days than bad and I am happy for that. I move much better and exercise daily, either walking 3 miles, lap swimming, or playing adventure fit on the nintendo switch (aerobic exercise). I also lift weights three times a week. I thrive on consistency and I track everything.

In regards to the upcoming holidays, it has brought on emotional feelings and this is the first time I have had doubts about having surgery (so I can never eat three different types of dessert at one time again...like ever?) It has come on in the form of anxiety and I know my hormones are out of whack; I can quite literally feel them coursing through my body it seems. I am working through this and I think I figured out this wave of emotion is because I previously associated celebration, family, and relaxation with food very deeply. So, while I have no cravings or real fear about making healthy choices, I clearly need to re-read chapters that cover emotional eating and relationship with food.

May this holiday season be everything you desire - time with family, time alone, rest, a time to get pesky tasks done, inspiration to set new goals - whatever you need!

    Take Care All!

I also have not been nauseous, AT ALL, I have not found a food I ‘can’t tolerate’, BUT I don’t ‘try crazy different foods’, I stick with what works for my schedule and routine. I know we are supposed to ‘switch it up’ so we don’t get bored. That’s NOT me, I’m boring, Protein Shake for Breakfast, tuna n cheese stick for lunch. Supper ‘varied’, usually chicken breast, and a carb smart ice cream for my ‘sweet’!

I’m a juney! I’m still hanging on! I’ve lost 54 pounds, total since the beginning of my journey ( august 2020) is 111pounds. I’m not losing ‘very fast’, but I’m totally OK with it. I’m not perfect, but I aim for my Protein and Water, and get them in MOST days :) exercise at the gym at least 3 times a week.

I am doing a 3 week liquid diet too. It starts tomorrow. I have to be under a certain weight by June 15th, so I am just starting it a little early (my surgery is scheduled for the 21st). My daughters are freaking out about the idea of a liquid diet and my husband is worried that I will be hangry all the time, which surprisingly makes me less worried and more focused because someone has got to keep it together - lol! I do plan to have my three allowed Protein Shakes a day, as these are the only things of substance I am allowed to have, and treat them like Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.< br />
Congratulations on the weight loss - that is 10 pounds you do not have to worry about after surgery! I am hoping for the same!

I was 275 pounds in 2012. I was overweight, unhealthy, pre-diabetic. I did the Sleeve in Tijuana. My goal was to get down to 200. This morning, I was 193.8. I got the weight off, and have kept it off for 9 years. It works! If you consider it and treat it as a life change, it works. For 9 years, I have done my Protein Shakes twice a day. I do not eat carbs....I work out. I get full, I stop eating. I am 61 and my doc says I have the bloodwork of a man in his 30s. The first picture was a month before surgery. July 2012. The second picture was recent. April 2021.

I had surgery June 21st and I am down 31 lbs. since surgery. I had the dreaded 'stall' for an entire 3 weeks! My scale just started moving again 10 days ago and it has been consistently decreasing, albeit at a slower rate than right after surgery.

Even through the stall I weighed myself everyday and I am learning to take it as a data point, just like recording my food, Water, or exercise. In other forums many have said that more stalls will come. For me, I just want to be consistent in my actions, regardless of scale victories.

It is great to hear about everyone's progress!
