Losing in in 2021

This is fruit I was allowed to eat during the soft stage. But I wasn't able to eat much fruit and still meet my Protein goals.
Fruits/vegetables
Canned fruit (in own juices or Water packed) Soft, fresh fruit without skins and chewed well (berries, peaches, plums) Bananas Cooked or canned vegetables Avoid raw, fibrous vegetables like broccoli and Brussels sprouts. Avoid skins and seeds.

Wish me luck! I’m in pre-op. Surgery to start at 7:30. I’m nervous and excited. I just want this to be over with.

I had my hernia repaired with my surgery l yesterday. I’m waiting for the cafeteria to bring me Jello and diet Decaf iced tea. I can order two things off the menu every four hours. I don’t really have pain; I would call it discomfort.

I had my surgery this morning. Going back to work Monday. However, I work from home and have a desk job. My boss knows I may need to lay down l, rest or walk throughout the day. I don’t get any paid time off where I work

Good luck tomorrow! I have to be at hospital 5:30 for 7:30 surgery. I also have to drink a Gatorade before 4:30, which means I’ll be up at 3:00 trying to drink. Oh well, it will all be over this time tomorrow

Mini gastric bypass is similar to RNY except that it has 1 joining (anastomosis) instead of 2 with the RNY bypass. Surgery and recovery are a bit quicker as a result.
It has pretty similar results, although RNY is still considered the gold standard.

Mine is also May 19th. I’m having a hard time with this liquid diet. The first 8 days were good but now I want food. I’m in a bad mood, dizzy and I can’t believe I have 10 days of more liquid diet after surgery before I can eat. All I want to do is chew something!

I was told mine is going to be 5 days clear liquids, 5 days any liquid, then 12 days purée, 2 months soft and then regular diet. I get my surgery on Wednesday

Nearly had the sleeve in 2014. Backed out at the last minute. The actual tipping point was COVID. I am under 40 and have two children. The idea of being high risk for a virus that can kill me for being obese set me off. I am almost 2 weeks post-op and down 63 lbs from my highest weight last August. I am officially half way there- hopefully my new tool will help me get there!

I was so happy when my 21 day stall was over. I dropped 7 lbs too. One week later, another stall.... But at least I know there will be gold at the end of the rainbow... I hope this one is shorter though...

I love the joy when a three week stall ends... Weight just falls off.... 7 lbs in two days....
I kept losing and gaining the same 1 or 2 lbs for three weeks.... SUCKS !!

May 19th. I’m getting a revision from band to bypass

I've gone the opposite direction. My wedding ring started falling off and I almost lost it a few times. It couldn't be resized because there were 3 different golds, so I just put it on my key ring.
I went through a couple basic replacement rings until each in turn started falling off.
On our 35 anniversary last year my spouse gave me a new, wonderful wedding band that fits. She keeps the old one in her jewelry box.

My PCP removed Morbidly obese from my diagnosis list. I am now just Obese, and my HA1Cis now Normal instead of prediabetic
