  1. I 100% agree that isopure helps. I use the flavored and the non flavored. It is so mich better than the pre mixed sweetness of the protein shakes like Premier.
  2. An advantage to being in my 60’s! Haha. Doing good with my pre op diet. First few days were rough but Im at day 6, some hunger but mostly Im learning to push past the cravings. Im having the realization that food is no longer for pleasure but for fuel to survive. Doing better with my protein shakes since I found Isopure. Good luck to those having surgery this week!
  3. You can call them and ask specifically what they are looking for. Also if you are being treated for your high blood pressure that may be enough to approve you as long as your doctor writes a letter that it is medically necessary. Good luck!
  4. Go to my surgery in the dropdown on your name, then progress . Good luck with your surgery.
  5. Before the pandemic I was a member at Planet Fitness and I was very happy going there. It was very low key and not like other gyms at all. I do plan on going back once I feel comfortable with where the pandemic is.
  6. Hi, Im new here too and I agree that the posts here have helped. Good luck tomorrow!
  7. Its interesting that there are so many different plans depending on the doctor yet so many are successful. My doctor has me on 5 protein shakes plus 1 meal consisting of 3-4 ozs of protein and 1 cup of green vegetables daily for 3 weeks prior to surgery. I found the premier protein shakes too sweet to have that many in a day so I just tried Isopure and its so much better.
  8. Glad to know Im not the only sixty something here. My surgery is scheduled for 5/20 so I cant respond to your questions but my reason was to get healthy. Getting older puts things in perspective as far as health for me. Good luck with your journey.
  9. Yes I am on day 3 of my liver shrink and the protein shakes are really hard to get down. Someone suggested to me to make freeze pops out of them and im going to try that. Might make it a bit easier. Good luck with your surgery.
  10. Thank you so much for the suggestions on the protein shakes ?? I will definitely try those! Keeping good vibes for us all having surgery coming up!
  11. My surgery date is also 5/20! My doctor wants liver shrink for 3 weeks. Im on day 2 and have to drink 5 protein shakes a day! They are so sweet wish there was an alternative! Good news is I just got all my pre op approval appointments so hoping those all go smoothly. Best news is Im off of insulin for the first time in years. Im ready to walk this path, grateful I found this blog. Good luck!
  12. Hiii Twin, its always better to walk with someone than alone. ? one day at a time.! Muala94 also has same date. Looks like we are triplets lol.
  13. Im on my 2nd day of my liver shrink. Its not easy but I am pushing through. I am having trouble with my primary care doctors office and getting my pre op clearances scheduled which is pissing me off and making me nervous. Its so frustrating that Im working so hard and they keep giving me the run around. Good luck to everyone with upcoming surgery ??????
  14. Starting my pre op diet tomorrow. ?? It will be 5 protein shakes and 1 meal consisting of 2 ozs of protein and 1 cup of green vegetables. ? Good luck to all!
  15. Hi twin lol, Im starting my liver shrink on Wednesday. Good luck to you. Im feeling a little anxious and trying to get my pre op testing done and coordinated. Seems to be a full time job.
