  1. Yes, you have to have documentation showing you have been on a monitored weight program for 6 months. What MDIPA did not tell me is the fact that my Weight Watchers records for 6 straight months counted and it did. All you need to do if you do not have any Weight Watchers records is make an appt. with your PCP specifically for weight management and make sure he/she documents that when you go. Have your PCP weigh you and note what diet you are on and what type of exercise you are trying and go back for 5 more months and do the same exact thing and there you have your 6 months of documented weigtloss. I have MDIPA who played many games initially and did not give me the specifics nor the entire process because they want you to fell so that you don't get approved and they don't have to pay the $14,000 for the surgery. Who is your insurance carrier? As I made myself a promise that once I got through that hurdle/approved that I am going to help anyone I possibly can. I have all of my documentation and would be happy to assist you.
  2. My surgery is scheduled for April 4, 2006, and I am so excited but yet a little nervous about being put under. But, I know GOD is in control so that is what keeps me focused!
