My Dr. wanted to do that but my insurance didn't cover it yet so we stuck with the band...

Congrats Michelle. I also got banded on 7/10/08. I go to my post-op tomorrow. Does the port still bug you at all? Sometimes it feels like it's poking out... I don't know, I may just need to get used to it still...

Hi. I was banded on 7/10 and I only had to wait 3 days for mushies also. I'm really careful when trying new things but if you talk to your Dr. he may let you start transitioning early! Worth a try...

Wow - I also live in Mckinney. I'm scheduled to be banded on 7/10/08!! Can't wait!!

Wow - I hope things are better soon. My date is 7/10/08 - I have heard the 1st week is the worst. I'm a little worried!!
