I have been on liquid protein shakes and clear liquids for 3 (1/2) weeks per surgeon's orders! I so want to be free of them, but must admit, haven't been hungry! And, since surgery, have only lost 13 lbs! Anybody else? -
I'm 10 days post sleeve gastrectomy and have horrible pain in my left underside ribcage. Still on liquid diet, so know it's not cheating! Haven't had good bowel movement since surgery! Do you think I need milk of magnesia to relieve no bowel movement? Thanks.

NO!!!! Drink water and take a stool softener. Your meds are plugging you up. With the pain med I took one pill of Pantoprazole to help mitigate the med effects. The pain is normal. In about 2 weeks it will almost go away but if you are concerned see your doctor. I just got out of that faze. Let me know if you continue to have issues.
