Pizza at 7 or 8 weeks?

Almost 9 months out and I can only eat a piece of small cheese pizza at this point. I have a really hard time with eating the crust. I usually eat about 1/2. I tried the cauliflower crust and still had a hard time digesting it for some reason. I didn't try to eat pizza until about my 3-4 months. All I could eat was a tiny bit of cheese and sauce. Good luck.

    May Surgeries - check in!

What is the Robard diet? I never heard of it.

    Negative reactions to getting plastics.

I won't be able to take ibuprofen, only Tylenol and that is why I am so worried about it. Tylenol really doesn't do much for me in the first place.

If I get anything done, I think it will be a tummy tuck. The hospital where I had my bypass will refer me to their plastic surgeon. They are excellent.

    Can't Maintain

How can you eat so much more? I am not being funny, I am serious. I try to eat more, and I can't because I get so full so quick. I am close to being 9 months out, and I thought I would be able to eat more at this point. I can eat a little bit more, like maybe 2 extra bites but that is it.

    Hair loss

I lost so much hair in months 4-6 and now its actually growing back. Thank God. It is normal so don't freak out like I did. I would literally cry every time I washed my hair. I have 2 bald spots, but because my hair is growing it is now covering them. My nutritionist told me to take Flaxseed Oil pills 1,000 mg a day. I have been doing it since month 4 and now I am almost 9 months out. I do believe it helped a lot.

Really you only needed Tylenol for the pain after the plastics? I heard from others that its very painful and they needed to take scripts of pain pills. I can not take pain pills at all due to my Chrons. This may be some great news for me. I do have a strong pain threshold so maybe its doable.

    OOTD

I am feeling this same way. I can't stop losing weight. My goal was 135 and now I am at 130. I wish I could stop but it just keeps coming off. I have gone from a size 6 down to a 4 in just a month. It feels good but bad at the same time. I am sick of buying new clothes.

    Negative reactions to getting plastics.

A lot of people said the pain is tolerable, but I am wondering if they say that because they take pain meds? I can not take those, I can only take Tylenol so that part worries me.

    Too old for plastics?

I just wish I had their blessings on this. They are sooooo against it for me. I will do what I want anyway so I guess it really doesn't matter that much.

    Snack

No as long as you are doing portion control you will actually speed up your metabolism by eating smaller portions but more times a day. It keeps the metabolism going/burning calories, etc.

    Eating Question

I am almost 9 months out and still have a hard time with meats. I can not eat any steak even if I cut it in tiny pieces. I am also having a hard time with chicken breast, I can eat the thighs. I can only eat the dark meat of the turkey.

    Grief/Alcohol

Very sorry for your loss. I would take the advice of the others and seek some counseling/therapy. Be very careful not to start drinking alcohol especially at this stage.

    Too old for plastics?

I am struggling with getting plastics and I am going to be 52 this year. My family and husband are against it. They think its not necessary and I am too old to get it.

    Fluids

Wow good for you. I couldn't even tolerate drinking sips of water for about 4-5 months out. It would make me feel nauseous. If you are able to drink that much at this point, I think its great.

    Snack

Maybe try to eat more like 5-6 times a day. I do that and I am never hungry. For snacks I usually eat 2-3 mini cukes (peeled) with a cup of cottage cheese (chives), strawberries & blackberries with a little bit of cool whip and crushed walnuts, 20 (yes I count them) almonds, an apple with either 2-3 tablespoons of all natural organic PB or almond butter, red pepper hummus with 1/2 piece of whole wheat pita bread or celery, very ripe pear (peeled) with small amount of honey and crushed walnuts (heat up in the microwave for about 20 seconds). Hope these ideas are good for you to try. Good Luck
  21. I am close to 9 months out and still haven't gone out to a restaurant for fear of Covid. I am also worried about going out and not finding the right things on the menu to eat. I know most places accommodate diff diets, but I am honestly leery of it because I have my eating plan that I do everyday at home. I am very strict about the times I eat and what I eat. My husband is really pressuring me to go out somewhere. He can eat whatever he wants so he doesn't get it.

    Glad to be back

Hello everyone, I have been gone for approx. 2 months (I think). My hubby was diagnosed with kidney disease and I couldn't concentrate on anything except him for a while. I am glad to be back. I noticed a lot of newcomers. A lot of names I didn't recognize or am familiar with.

    GOING BACK TO OLD HABITS

I'm not sure how you can eat that stuff so soon after the surgery. I am almost 9 months out, and still can't eat most things without feeling sick. The only advice I can give you is to think about your health. You look young, but as you get older the weight really effects your health badly. If your going to eat a lot of something, at least have it be something healthy. Ice cream was my favorite before my surgery, now when I crave it, I eat frozen yogurt instead and it satisfies me. Try to do food substitutions. I also used to eat tons of chocolate, now I will eat a small pc of dark chocolate and it makes the craving go away. Plus think of all that you went thru with the surgery and maybe that will help you push fwd. Good Luck

    Poop talk

I would double check with your doctor before doing this every day. I only do it every day because he told me to. The Miralax helps you go and the stool softeners make it softer/easier to come out.
