    Fluids

At almost 9 months out do I still have to keep drinking so much fluid? Does it ever get to the point where we don't have to do this? Can I drink less now?

    Fluids

My pee color has always been clear or extremely light no matter how much or little I drink. I don't think that I can tell from just that alone.

    Still feeling nauseous

I haven't been out to eat since before my surgery. I eat very slowly, and always make sure I am hydrated so I know its not any of that stuff. I basically eat the same things every day so I am curious to see what its all about.

    Still feeling nauseous

I don't eat sugar so I know its not from that. I always eat slowly and eat small bites of food and chew completely. I am thinking of calling my docs office on Monday to see what they say about it.

    Can't Maintain

So I reached my goal approx. 2 months ago. I went from 216 to 135 in 7 months!! Now I am down to 131 and keep losing even though I increased my protein, carbs, etc. I still eat healthy, but I am able to eat more now. I don't know why I keep losing. I am starting to look really sickly.

    Can't Maintain

I certainly hope so. I can eat 2 scrambled eggs plain if I don't eat anything else with them. I just started being able to do that. If the food is heavier, I can not eat more than a few bites. I still having a hard time with any meats. It feels like a lump sitting in my belly for hours after and it hurts even if I only take really small tiny bites.

    Favorite Grocery Products

When I get a chocolate craving, I eat tiny mini dark choc chips from Nuts.com. I only eat a very small amount and it gets rid of the craving. I put them on yogurt, in my cereal, mixed with nuts, etc. I usually eat a tiny bit every day and its perfect. The only almonds & walnuts that I eat are whole, raw from Nuts.com also and there are no better tasting walnuts that I have tried so far.

I have not tried spring mix. I will have to do it because I love salad. TY for the idea.

    Miralax everyday?

It took a whole week of me taking it every day for it to finally work. My doc said even if it makes it too loose to not stop taking it. So what did I do...stopped for only one day because I had diarrhea the day before. Well guess what. I didn't poop for 2 days after that and now I am constipated again even though I have been taking it for the past 3 days. Stupid on my part not to listen to the doc. Ugghhh!
  11. My doctor told me to take Miralax everyday. I feel this is bad for my system. I was told that we shouldn't rely on laxatives because then we will never be able to poop without them? Is anyone else doing this everyday? If so has it affected you negatively in anyway?

    Preop and divorce

It sucks that some people just can't be supportive. I am close to being 9 months out, and my husband is extremely jealous and trying to be controlling of me especially now that the warm weather is here. He tried to tell me that I wasn't "allowed" to wear shorts. I just laughed and told him I will wear whatever I want. (I never wore them when I was heavy so now he is having a fit). Not that I am going to look like a stripper and wear super short ones, but he is still having a fit over it. I told him that if he doesn't like it, he can divorce me. When I said that, he kinda backed off a little. Now he just grunts at me when I get dressed for the day. Oh well!

    I need idea's

Are they saying you still can only have liquids at 4 weeks out? I don't think I could eat anything at that point?

Unfortunately I doesn't matter as I have tried different types of lettuce also. I can tolerate baby spinach a little bit more sometimes.

I am still having a really hard time eating salad. I have a hard time digesting raw veggies. I am close to being 9 months out, and I feel like I should be fine at this point? When I am able to eat it again, I can't wait to try these dressings. They look yummy.

    Weak nails

I actually did have my labs done and everything came back good. I never had super strong nails before the surgery, but now its way worse.

    Weak nails

I had the WLS close to 9 months ago and my nails including my toenails are so weak they are peeling, and breaking below the nail bed surface. So low in fact that my entire toenail peeled right off the other day and was bleeding for hours. I know that we are not absorbing nutrients as we were before, but this is getting really bad. My fingernails are disgusting, and I have to keep them filed all the way down to the fingertips. Is this happening to anyone else? If so, what did you do to fix/help it?

    Lose, lose, stall

This is what happens to mostly everyone after surgery. I used to get so aggravated. I would lose, then be in a stall for sometimes 3-4 weeks at a time. If you keep doing what your supposed to, you will see it come off again. Just be patient. I know it sucks. I used to get so upset.
