I am excited about going to Mexico. I'm self-pay and it is so much cheaper to get it down there. I've thoroughly researched the doctor and staff and talked with other banders who have recently had their surgery there. Nothing but good news from everyone. I'd like to spend an extra day in Mexico, to see some of the sights and do some shopping. Items are much cheaper there. This is my first trip to Mexico. Mostly, I can't wait to have the lap-band and begin my life anew. I've waited too long...:grouphug: I have begun my preop diet thought I'm 3 weeks away. Want to lose as much as I can before sugery. That's great! Where are you located and is your doctor local?

YEAH! I'm getting banded July 10 in Mexico! I'm so excited and nervous. I'd be very interested to hear from others who have had their surgeries by Dr. Ortiz, and, of course, all of you who will be banded before me. I'm feeling impatient. :ohmy:
