  1. That is great Maggie! Just think, it could be 17 lbs by this time next week!
  2. I have Tricare prime and did not need a referral. If you go to Tricare's website you can find PSY docs/NPs that are in network in your area.
  3. What kind of insurance do you have? Most of the time you can get it overturned if it is covered. Sometimes it is something small that is causing you to get denied.
  4. I am going to throw this out there. This does not go for every gay person. As I mentioned, my brother is gay. I also have a cousin that is gay and a close friend that is a lesbian. My brother and my cousin were molested (by the same man). My friend was brutally raped. I also have a younger cousin (different side of family) who is gay and, as far as I know, he never was abused...it was obvious at a very young age that he would be gay. So, are people born that way (genetics), do they chose to be that way, or are there circumstances that make them that way? Here is something I learned a long time ago...Why would someone "chose" this lifestyle? It often causes issues in the family, discrimination, is frowned on by their faith...etc..It is not an easy lifestyle when your parents threaten to disown you.
  5. I bought the centrum ones and OMG!! They are horrible!
  6. Flinstones...I like Dino best
  7. I just heard that Obama's grandmother just passed away. The day before election day...
  8. I can't understand why we don't use fingerprints in our election. Wouldn't that help eliminate voter fraud and keep felons and illegals from voting? They have computers that can read fingerprints.
  9. Yeah, they should have counted the military's absentee ballots. Hanging chads went both ways.
  10. Pattygreen used scripture to support why she was voting a certain way. Abortion and Same sex marriage are issues in this election. She did not "spew hate upon them, stripping them of their dignity, ensue violence". Perhaps we should eliminate threads that ask for any kind of opinion that may cause disagreements. Someone on either side is surely to get offended.
  11. http://http://www.propeller.com/story/2008/10/30/nostradamus-writings-predict-mccain-victory/
  12. I hate to change the topic, but did you hear that Nostradamus predicted McCain to win?
  13. He did not burn his bible because it says that he is an abomination.
  14. I am the person in the family that had to stand up to my parents when my brother came out. They were ashamed and crying. Long long story, but now my parents are supportive of him.
  15. My brother is Catholic. In fact, he was going to be a priest. So he knows what the Bible says. I have not seen him burn one and I know he keeps one on his coffee table.
  16. Probably because she was referring to the Bible. Leviticus 18:22 Leviticus 20:13 (You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.) Now, please don't throw anything at me. I am just telling you where she got it from.
  17. The first time I stepped on the scales I was shocked! In fact, I thought it was wrong and had to find someone else's scales to double check. Hopefully you will have the same results! The first place I notices was my boobs! YIKES! As far as the pictures, I work nights and it was a rough night. Probably taken at 3 am. Thanks for the compliments.
  18. Ok, for all it is worth, I am going to add my 2 cents. I consider myself a religious person. I also have a brother that is Gay who I love dearly. I do not believe in Gay marriage in the traditional sense. Vows under God should be between a man and a woman (imho and how I was raised in the traditional church). I DO believe in a civil union and rights for gays and lesbians. God loves us all, but that does not mean our behaviors are acceptable to Him. This view really tears at me. In this big world, we could only be so lucky to find someone that we love and that loves us that we want to spend the rest of our lives with. If that person happens to be of the same sex, is it wrong? It is not right for me, but I pray that my brother finds someone that he loves and respects and that can do the same for him. Even if that person is another man. There is no need to call others "bigot" or insult their intelligence. We all come from different backgrounds, and were raised differently. If someone is religious and has a strong belief about same-sex marriage that impacts their voting choices, and asked "why are you voting for McCain", then they have as much right to answer this post as anyone else. You don't have to like their answer. I don't think pattygreen directed anything to one person. It was her personal views.
  19. I have mentioned it in other threads, but I will add it here. My Pumpkin Spice Protein shake. I mixed canned pumpkin, vanilla yogurt, vanilla protein powder, a small amount of milk, packet of Splenda, ice and cinnamon. It is so yummy!

I am one month post op. It started off very rocky. I ended up back in the hospital postop day 2 and stayed for a week. It was either a reaction to the band or something used in the surgery or an infection. Anyway, everything is much better. I am 32 lbs down and feeling great! I have had to struggle with the old fat me and the new "getting healthy" me. I have resisted the chips, cokes, candy etc that my family and coworkers eat. I have also added exercise to my daily life. My CPap was turned down, and now I have been going with out it. First fill is Wed. Hope that takes care of the desire to snack. Thankfully I have stocked the fridge with sugar free low calorie snacks.

  22. Thank you. I have always been able to gain and lose 20 or so pounds and no one notice. I hope the next 30 will make a BIG difference. I have not been using my CPAP lately. I wake up with lots of air in my belly. That is my daughter in picture when she got finished with LDAC. She is now a second LT. Following in Daddy's foot steps, well, kinda. I may post a pic of him on here too, since you all are military. He is a retired special ops Blackhawk pilot (Army 160th).
  23. Go to the main page and click photos. I have 2 albums. A progress one and a complications one. The progress is private, but you should be able to see it. Let me know if you can't.
  24. As I have been downloading photos, I didn't realize how old and tired I look. I hope that goes away after weight loss, or I will be getting a facelift too!
  25. Ok Girls, my photos are under "post op complications". They are just of my belly. I may put my before and after photos up but it will be only so that my contacts can see them. If I haven't added you and you want to see them, just pm me and I will add you.
