  1. I was just looking through to see what might be wrong with me. I think maybe I have this problem... Did the small portions work for you? I was doing OK but then lately I think I've been eating too much. And now I'm noticing that I feel like there is somethig at the base of my throat... and reflux at night. Makes me not want to lie flat. I'm going to go on slimfast for a week and see if that helps.
  2. I was denied at first too. I waited 6 months and applied again - going through all the other possible co-morbidities like sleep apnea, things I hadn't been checked for before. It was so frustrating because the denied me because of lack of comorbidities too.... I was like.. let's get this done and PREVENT those additional problems! Ah well, after the reapply I was approved and went right in. Very glad I waited to reapply instead of paying out of pocket but if I hadn't been approved that 2nd time then I would have cash payed. Hang in there. I hope you find a solution before your hubby comes back or that you are so pleasantly surprised by how much he loves and wants you in any body.
  3. I'm early in this process and still focused on the pre-op diet but my friend had it several months ago and I remember her favorite soup is tomatoe and I know she ate it during the liquid (not clear, but next step) phase. Congrats!
  4. I just got the pre-approval from insurance (so thankful I get some help with the cost) and I hope I'll have a surgery date in the next 2 or 3 weeks. I am hoping for 2 weeks because I will be traveling in 6 weeks and I'd like to feel pretty good on that trip. I do have a few questions but I'm not sure if this is correct or if I should post them seperately: 1) how soon after surgery would you feel like taking a plane ride with 3 kids age 5 and under? 2) I work from home, full-time, sitting at a desk. Do I really need to take a week off or do you think a couple of days might be OK, giving myself plenty of breaks and naps? Looking forward to more searches throughout the site and having this community for support!:frown:
