  1. You are a very beautiful lady. Congrats!!!!
  2. I thought the same thing regarding the whey protein in the Unjury soup, but I looked closer at the ingredients and saw that it was whey protein isolate. I believe the isolate is the key??? Not 100 here, but I think that this may be why it is ok. However, I'm for sure not a nurse nor dr. Worth finding out.
  3. Congrats... Great day for surgery. I go to see my Dr for my pre-op visit. I'm excited, too. My surgery date is January 12th. Keep us posted.
  4. Shoot I'm almost 56 and surgery date of January 12th, and if need be I will for sure consider it. Nothing wrong with wanting to feel good about yourself and have the confidence that we have always wanted.
  5. You can bet I'll do the same, as my surgery date is January 12th, 2021.
  6. Casey1234, I agree with both Bifbills and chinadoll2285. However, I am still pre-op as my surgery is scheduled for January 12. I am very nervous about the pain control because of the way the Drs now treat pain. I feel a lot of them are afraid to help with pain for getting in trouble with idk, whomever monitors what and how much they prescribe pain meds. It really does stink because everyone is different and some ppl do great on just tylenol and where others need an opiate of some sort? I so hope that I don't run into this problem either I feel your nervousness from here. I do hope that you are feeling better and the dr gave you some medication that worked for you. I have had 14 previous surgeries and I do know that pain control is a big desisive factor in getting up and working the soreness out-ie.. healing faster. Good luck, and keep us posted.
  7. Thanks, yes I am so excited.
  8. Thanks so very much. I am a little nervous, not gonna lie, but I am far more excited than nervous. My health has gotten so bad that this I pray will help get me back on track. I do greatly appreciate the encouragement.
  9. Finally!!! Yes, I've been waiting for awhile to get my date and I'm so excited. I was hoping for December, but at least January the 12th is just around the corner.
  10. Thanks so very much for the info. I knew I thought I'd heard that about the almond milk, but wasn't sure. I so appreciate the feedback, Also, how are you feeling? I hope all is going smooth for you. I am suppose to call first thing Monday morning to get my surgery date. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time.
  11. I know that is exactly what I feel like what happened. As far as I know I will be getting my surgery date this coming Monday Dec 7th. I hope everything is coming together for you.
  12. Thanks I've been looking everywhere for a more simple way to make the sugar free jello pudding pops. I actually purchased the Genepro? really wasn't sure which one to use, this is what GNC recommend. I have a quick question please. Can I use almond milk in place of the skim milk? I have watched so many different youtube videos that I think I heard somewhere that the almond milk will not work? Thanks so much in advance for you help.
  13. Wow!! I know that was wonderful. I wish my dr office was half as organized?? Which I'm not sure if that is the case it could have to do with all this covid? I don't want to put my Dr or his office ppl down, because they have all been wonderful and very helpful. I am just ready to at least know my date. LIke I told someone else, It reminds me of a game we played as children the one I think called "shoots and ladders" 2 steps forward and then 3 steps back. I'm just ready to have my surgery. Thanks for your reply. I can see by your stats that you've done amazing.
  14. Thanks so much, and I hope all is going well for you. I kind of wish I'd gone to Winston or Wake for this but the Dr that I am going to has done surgery on several ppl I know and they have all done very well so I just want to get it done, already. Thanks for the encouragement.
  15. I wish you all the best. I can't wait to find out my surgery date. I was told that they will inform me this week. I will see? Keep us posted, and you'll do great.
  16. Yay!! Im suppose to find out my surgery date this week too. I'm hoping for around the 16th or so. I'm in NC, too. I will be having surgery in Concord, not sure if you are familiar with this area, but I wish you the best. Keep me posted..
  17. I know that's exactly how I felt. Wanted to update you.. I did receive my approval and I was told that they would be calling me this 1st week of Dec to inform me of my surgery date? I hope. I'll keep you posted and thanks for your support.
  18. Hi Jokersgirl, I am waiting on my surgery date this week, so I haven't actually had my bypass yet. However, I believe Id wait on going to the ER where you had your surgery done. It is better safe then sorry. Please keep us posted, and best of luck.
  19. I feel your stress, myself. However, I still don't have my date of surgery. They are suppose to call me this week with the date? I'm excited for us. Hang in there and keep us posted.
  20. Congradulations. I am myself just waiting to find out my surgery date. I was told that I'd be informed this week? We shall see. I am 55yo female, CW 287 and I'm 5'6". I look so forward to this tool to help me be able to at least be able to hopefully walk without being in intense pain. I wish you all the luck and keep us posted.
  21. Thanks so much for the response. I'd never heard of this? At least I know now that this isn't uncommon. Also, congrats on your weight loss, that is wonderful. I'm so happy for you. Thanks again..
  22. I live in NC, and finished up everything the Dr. required so we could submit to insurance for approval. I was so excited. The nurse and staff informed me at check out that it can take up to 2 weeks for a decision. Well, today is Nov 10 and just shy of 2 days of the approx. 2 weeks for a decision from insurance, so I called my Dr office just to check the status to only be told " that my information hasn't even been submitted to insurance yet because they're 9 people ahead of me?" OK. Understood, but why wasn't I informed that on the day that everything was complete, instead of the wait time now of 9 more people ahead of me. I guess I'm just curious if this has happened to anyone else? We work so hard to get to the surgery day to be told we have to wait again. IDK... just upset. Thanks for listening and letting me get this out.
  23. good information for future reference. Thanks. I also hope that you are feeling better.
  24. Just wanted to say congrats on your day, and please keep us posted.
