  1. Hello fellow November’s. I would like to have some accountability partners who are in approximately the same phase of the WLS journey as me. So far this post has kinda served that purpose but going forward we will all probably be posting in the thread of interest on this forum versus this post. I started a Face book group, Bari Buddies, if anyone would be interested in comparing notes, Q&A, moral support, and accountability during our journeys. This is the link if you would be interested. https://www.facebook.com/groups/411774243154346/?ref=share Started pre-op diet yesterday. Getting excited
  2. I’m on Nov 13th also!! I’m getting the sleeve how about you?
  3. Any fellow Nov sleevers care to share their pre-op diet? My surgeon just told me to lose 10 lbs before surgery, however in the paperwork it says 10-14 days clear liquid diet with foods, drinks and sample menus. I’ve got an upcoming appointment with the dietician where I’m sure I’ll get clarity. I was just wondering what everyone else was doing, or if you even knew.
  4. Please let me know how it goes.
  5. Please let me know how it goes!
  6. Thanks for your feedbak My husband and I will be staying in a hotel the night before surgery since we have to be at the hospital @ 6 am. I am the only patient my dr is doing surgery on that day so he assured me we would start by 8 am and the surgery should last an hour. He uses the robotic Da Vinci laparoscopic method and he says to expect minimal pain. He said I could go home as soon as I drink, walk and go to the bathroom the required amounts. He didn’t seem concerned about the drive. I thought all that was easy to say when he hadn’t experienced the pain.
  7. For anyone having a gastric sleeve done outpatient - how painful was the ride home? I’m schedule 11/13 for outpatient gastric sleeve, but have a two hour drive home. Would it be better to drive home day of surgery while still somewhat under the effects of pain meds or get a hotel and go home the day after surgery? Opinions?
  8. Mine is scheduled for 11/13. Friday the 13th!!!
