  2. Happy 33rd Birthday grlwunderkas!

  3. 3 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 3rd Anniversary grlwunderkas!

  4. Hi!! Well I don't think there are much difference between the two... thats just what the Admin put in my line and I left it. :)

I miss you all too. I go in there still from time to time but end up leaving just as fast as I got there. I really to be honest dont have alot of good to say. Like, um, pretty much my band never helped me. Turns out I have to help myself... lol. That's WAY negative and don't want to go there... because there are so many people the band DOES work for.

    See you around!!!

  5. Thanks for your comment on my blog. I know I'm stressed. :) Have been for a while. I am currently going through a divorce, was with him for 7.5 years, married for 3.5. He was supportive, but not in the encouraging way - more in the putting me down way. We separated in March, my kids and I moved out in April and we've been much happier. Now there are other stresses. Working 60+ hours a week doesn't help. I know this isn't a quick fix, it's a tool, but sometimes I get a little frustrated.

Losing...or not...as the case may be

I have to be THE slowest loser EVER to have a band! I'm so frustrated (yes, I know it doesn't help)! I was banded May 12, 2008. My starting weight was 288.3. My current weight is 260.5 - and can sometimes fluctuate down to 253. I can't seem to break that 250 mark. I have about 6 cc's in my band and some of the time, I end up throwing up what I've eaten. What is wrong with me?!?! I think I need some serious help.
  7. Hey there...long time, no talk. :)

What's the difference between a super moderator and just a plain ole' moderator?

Missing our chats...no one that I know is ever in the chat room anymore.

why do I do this to myself....

Yeah, I know what you mean...after something gets stuck...it just isn't as enjoyable as it used to be - at least for me. If I want to eat eggs, I have to have them overeasy - I can't do scrambled anymore. I can do pasta, but not rice - unless it's Japanese rice. One time, I'll eat something and be fine, and the next time I try to eat it, I get sick. I can't eat pork anymore either (like pulled pork)...the last few times I've tried eating it, I've gotten sick. I wish there was a sign the band could poke out that tells you how it's feeling that day! LOL

How often do you weigh yourself?

I weigh myself every morning, nekkid, after going to the bathroom, and before my shower. I've heard both sides to weighing yourself every day - some say you shouldn't, others say you should because it helps you track things better...like, if my weight goes up 2.5 pounds in a day, I can say oh, I didn't get enough water yesterday, I need to drink more today. I don't know if it'll help you or not (it does me), but you can visit a website - www.physicsdiet.com - and create a free profile, and put your weight in every day...then once a week or once a month, you can hit the reports link and it'll show you what your average weight loss is per week - not day. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me!

Need A Fill Doc In Pa... Anybody??

Spirit - I'm covered by insurance. I think fills are around $200...but don't quote me on that.

why do I do this to myself....

I do the same thing sometimes...up until I hit 6 cc's full. I've tried a bite or two of bread very few times...mostly, I just completely avoid bread now. I don't know if this happens to you, but french fries will get stuck for me! I know, I know...that's probably a good thing...but sometimes you just want a few! Since I had my last fill, I've noticed that I usually eat WAY less than I did even with 5 cc's in - it made a huge difference for me. In the mornings, I can hear my water gurggling through...so I don't even try to eat anything solid until at least 8:30 or 9 (sometimes that's difficult though because I get up at 5 AM). It's definitely a lifelong learning process...

    seeking information

He's probably not close enough to you...but my doctor was Dr. DiMarco in Harrisburg PA...he's awesome! Great bedside manner...and good looking too (Bonus! LOL). My approval didn't take long, and my surgery took about 45 minutes...he's very popular around here. Their website is www.wgtlossclinic.com.

    Anyone in York?

Hi there...I'm not in York, but close enough...I'm in Hummelstown (close to Hershey Park). My mom lives in York, so I get down there a few times a month. If you want, you can add me as a friend...we could exchange email addresses and at least keep in touch that way...let me know if you're still looking for a buddy.

Need A Fill Doc In Pa... Anybody??

Hey there...I realize this post was from awhile ago, and I'm not sure if you've found a fill doctor in PA yet or not, but I go to the Weight Loss Clinic in Harrisburg PA. Their website is www.wgtlossclinic.com. Dr. DiMarco did my surgery, and I get my fills by Dr. Weiger. Hope this info helps!
