I had the same fear. It actually prevented me from having the procedure earlier in life. It dawned on me that your stomach is a lot smaller after surgery so not as much is coming up. I'm currently 9 months out from gastric sleeve and have not once vomited. Key is not to over eat. Eat slow and stop before you feel full. Don't go over the recommended serving size. You'll do great.

I have a desk job with occasional up and down, I took 3 weeks off. I felt really good by the first week, but I gave myself extra time to get adjusted to the new diet. Also it did allow me time to rest and let my body recuperate. Afternoon naps were wonderful.
