  1. Hi, Renewed Hope: I'm 30 days out from surgery today, and get my first eval & possible fill on Tuesday the 29th. I'm trying to stay in the 30-40 g carb range with total calories in the 1800 range, and seem to be moving down slowly. It would have been better if I hadn't gone ape on Tuesday. I had 3 vodka crystal lights, and then had a bag of popcorn! All the women on this thread: It seems like your portions are so very small. Do women really have to have such small portions while they are low-carbing? I thought Atkins allowed larger portions. I don't mean to be pushy, just wondering if you can add more lean protein. Thanks!
  2. I'm guessing the band helped you limit the size of your cheat. At least the cheats are smaller now! You will be fine in the long run. I can really relate to the being penny wise and pound foolish thing. I've eaten stupid things to "save money."
  3. Greetings all, New to LBT, and this forum. 14 days post surgery, with total loss in last 28 days of 30 lbs. I've had past successes with Atkins for weight loss, but not maintenance. Looking to the band for that help! Hoping my RN and MD don't freak out too badly when they find I've planned to go to Atkins all along. Keep up the great work and great posts. BTW, I'm 40 with a supportive Wife & family. I'm male -- which helps with metabolism -- but I leave it to the audience to decide if i'm a boy or a man.
