Oh girl we had the same night!!! :cursing: Since I didn't cook last night my hubby brought home pizza slices for my girls, a steak & chesse sub & french fries for him!!! :crying: Then my MIL gave them all apple pie! It smelled so good!!!!!! I have been REALLY hungry too. :frown: Wouldn't you know Iam the only one w/ a weight problem. I know they were just eating but it seemed like they were trying o torture me lol!!! :thumbdown: Sorry I just listed all that food. :drool: BUT it's NOT good for us anyway RIGHT!!

I totally understand what your saying. In her defense she just had surgery & maybe she's not up to doing much yet. :biggrin: Mc'd's is ok once in awhile. I'm sure she doesn't give it to her kids on a regular basis. :dita: I had my surgery the same day as her & I have three little ones all under 6yrs old. As, you can imagine it's not easy. :tongue: Please understand I am not trying to be fresh in anyway. I'm just seeing her side too. :-)

Hey everyone! I was banded sept 25th!! I'm down 10 lbs including wk pre op :-) pains not so bad. I have MAJOR GAS (from below), diarea & some gas pressure in chest. That's about it. I find myself already wanting food & getting hungry. The "head hunger" is here too.

Ok, my surgery went well & I came home last night. :thumbup:Pretty sore but the gas isn't really buggibg me which is good. Can't wait to start feeling better & lose this weight! :thumbup: Still very tired. ttyl!

Ok I have to be there at 6 AM!!! I'm glad it's early. I'm nervous!!! :girl_hug: I just can't think too much lol! How bad was the gas pain? That's what I'm worried about. When i had my tubes tied i remember it was bad. I'm off!!!! :thumbup:

Hey everyone!!! I'm so excited!!! :cool2: They called me the other day & said I was approved!!!!! my date is SEPT 25 th!!!!! They kinda blind sided me but I said I'll take it!!!!! Now I'm worried I gained some weight. Dr Vernon only wanted me to lose 5lbs {just so you don't gain she said}. I started pre opp diet today & I slipped a bit already! I gotta do better!

This is a good plan GET OUT of the house! I just started my preop diet today , Not likin it at all! My surgery is sept. 25th. I'm very excited! My doc said just lose 5lbs (so not to gain) but I'm afraid I may have gained. They sprung the date on me so fast! I thought I'd be waiting forever,

I'm a beer & soda drinker myself. :tt1:I'll have more of a hard time w/ not drinking soda! :biggrin:

Hey everyone! I just had my Upper GI & phyc done on aug.11th. It all went pretty smoothly. I'm getting excited & nervous! I find that if I start thinking about it too much I start to worry & wonder. I'm doing this though I know it's the only way I'll lose a large amount & KEEP it off. So, I'll be going for my nutrition appointment Aug, 25th. Then Dr Vernon will put it in to insurance! :biggrin: The phyc. appointment she told me the dr. likes us to go to a few meetings. So, I guess I should look into it.

Yes, I just got all my pre-op appointment yesterday. Two are on AUG 11th & the other is AUG 25th. So, I'll be at them even if I have to walk lol!! Here's to hoping it all goes through quickly! :-)

hI AGAIN Debski, I'm not rying to sound like a JERK :biggrin: but should you be having creamed soup yet :biggrin: ?? I know my doc said only CLEAR stuff for first few days. I don't know if that would hurt you anyway???? Hope your better soon. :thumbup:

Hey there, I read your post & I feel so bad your in so much pain :frown:I have not had my band yet. I have read a lot of people talking about BAD gas after. I think they pump it in you during the surgery. Have you spoke w/ your doc yet? I think you should just to be on the safe side. I know you have swelling after surgery too. That may be why you feel SOOO tight. I'm sorry I can't help you more. Keep us posted. {{{HUGS}}}

Hey everyone!!! I just saw this thread & glad I did. :thumbup: My name is Heidi, I'm 30 yrs old w/ 3 young daughters, & I live north of Boston. I've gone to the BWH for the info seminar, just met w/ Dr Vernon, & scheduled my upper GI, phyc, & nutritional app for this month. So, Dr. Vernon said as soon as I get those app. done she'll put the request into the insurance. She said that takes about 1-2 wks to get approval. After she get approval she'll give me "THE DATE" :biggrin:. I really liked Dr. Vernon. She made me feel comfortable. You can tell she's confident in what she does too. Well, I'll keep you all posted! Congrats to everyone! Oh yeah, can anyone tell me how long you waited after you did all testing to get surgery done?
