Hey there everyone. I had my gastric bypass today and it went well. No pain at the moment just some tenderness in the abdomen. My procedure was four hours. Going to ask tomorrow for the details. Nothing by mouth until tomorrow. I'm ready for the next part of my journey!

And if it helps, I'm just over past 7 weeks post-op and I'm still on soft foods because my doctor threw his own book out the window and decided to do a very slow progression for me. Once you get to soft foods, you're gonna be thrilled and it'll make the wait to get to solid foods that much easier. Scrambled eggs will never taste as good as they do the first time you eat them post-op.
And...there's the ricotta bake to look forward to.

Those are some beautiful arms! It's hard to believe a cream could do that, but you have youth on your side. I have the granny flaps from hell--I mean I could really hurt someone if I whapped them upside the head with them. But at 66 all the cream in the world ain't gonna make them shrink...

with a 100 lb loss, you're going to have loose skin. I lost over 200 lbs and had a ton of it. Although I eventually had it surgically removed because it drove me crazy, it was very easy to hide in clothes. Nobody knew it was there other than me and my husband. And like the above poster said, given the choice, I would take the loose skin any day over weighing almost 400 lbs again. ANY FREAKING DAY!!!
People on here are probably getting sick of this picture, but this is me BEFORE I had the skin removed. See any loose skin? Trust me, there's a ton of it under those clothes - esp on my torso. I just wore "control top" leggings (or standard jeans) and long-ish, slightly oversized tops. Ta da! Skin disappeared!

I’ve got to be honest, there is no exercise for loose skin. If someone has lost a little bit of weight and has no muscle tone, they could gain a little muscle to push out the skin. But for significant weight loss, skin and exercise are completely separate issues. Unless someone is quite young or won the DNA lottery of skin, there will be loose skin.
I’m not trying to be Debbie downer, but those are scientific facts and I hate for people to spend a lot of time and money on things that won’t work (and there are people who will lie for their own reasons, including the beauty industry trying to make money). I wish that weren’t so (but I spent $20,000 on surgery because it is). But there is still looseness on my lower legs and arms that surgery can’t fix. It is just part of the journey.
I don’t normally do this, but I’m going to attach a before and after picture of my arm surgery (after my 100 lb loss 7 years ago). There is nothing that would’ve fixed that skin but surgery. 🙇🏼‍♀️

I don’t think there’s really anything that tightens skin. Muscle development can fill you out a bit and make the skin less noticeable. Plastic surgery is the only thing that research shows successfully removes extra skin.

also your husband is a d**k.
