Dogmom68 reacted to BayougirlMrsS in What causes YOUR weight loss stall?
I've always thought stalls were my body's way of catching up.... When i had a stall... i would go back and look at what i was eating or Not eating..... Doing or Not doing. I would then make adjustments
Some think.... i'll snack on nuts... well they are good for you, but when you eat a large bag of them a day... NOT good.
Make sure you are logging your food, Water and exercise.
Remember to take pictures and measurements.... sometimes we think we are at a stall, but our measurements reflect differently.

Congrats on your date. Try making your own sugar free popsicles form the sugar free mixes like Chrystal Light. There is only one brand of sugar free popsicles at my local store so homemade works well as a substitute.

Hi Ladies,
This is what I have done to get ready so far.
1) Purchased my pre-op liquid diet shakes called Optifast and I will be starting them on Oct. 19th
2) Bought the required Vitamin supplements recommended by my bariatric team for the 1st two months after surgery.
3) Purchased Premiere Protein for my Liquid Protein supplement for after surgery
4) Purchased a small single serve blender "Ninga Bullet" to help me with making my shakes yummy and my pureed food yummy (I'm hoping)
5) I'm telling my office on Oct 19th that I will be having surgery on the 10th of November
6) Joined a very local WLS group so I can connect with people in person. I think I am going to initiate some group walk events so we can meet outside safely. We are in a rural area so that will be easy for us.
That's it so far....

Dogmom68 reacted to Officially Not Fatty Matty in I Want To See Before & After Pics! (Cont'd)
Broke the 80lb mark today, almost at 250 (which opens up a whole new world of ladders I can safely climb!). I didnโt think I looked that different until I did this side by side, probably the first time since surgery Iโve really looked at pics of me โbefore.โ Even though Iโm not at my goal Iโm just dumbfounded at the change to be honest. FYI I never once wore that shirt, it was a 3xl and assumed it would fit, so itโs been hanging sadly in my closet ever since. I tried on a size large regular shirt and it fit!!! Crazy, not even in high school could I have done that. Iโm tall so I will still probably need to get some new clothes from a big and tall store but at least Iโll only be there for half of that. As every says, wish I did this years ago.

Oh trust me Iโm not decreasing my Fluid intake but I need some serious sleep instead of being up every hour. No coffee, no food, no sleep. Iโm a $$*)#@ ray of sunshine...4 more days..............

Been a while since I have been on this forum and so much has changed-in a good way! I reached my (adjusted) goal weight. I went back to school. I have a new career (as a baiatric-focused personal trainer) and I'm excited about my future. Although lots has been derailed because of the virus, the accomplishments are still there and my business will thrive once the fitness industry is able to rebound. For now, I do my coaching virtually and keep up on my fitness by working out with my team via zoom. It's a crazy time but still full of possibilities! I'm so sorry some of your surgeries are being derailed- that is a tough pill to swallow I'm sure. I hope everyone stays healthy and strong. Be kind!

Gotta love a good pair of cosy slippers, Cheeseburgh - I live in mine. Only around the house of course. No wandering down in them to buy groceries. ๐ Your legs go on forever! Good luck with your move.
Ms.Sss your penis head shot has appeared today. Wondered if it had been censored yesterday ๐. Your arms look amazing.
Appointment with my surgical team this morning. This was one of my favourite labels but their smallest size is XS & consequently the dress is a little big around the middle (hence me sneakily holding some fabric at the waist at the back - tee hee.) At least it is shaped so it actually looks ok when Iโm not pinching the fabric.

Extraordinary! Love both outfits and those SHOES...wow! So Fluid and feminine. Looks as though spring has sprung? Cheers to kryptonite. I just added some grey to my closet, too, with soft cotton T and flats. BUT I truly admire your silver and pewter mules. ;] Flat style, I wonder? Wish my knees could tolerate a higher heel. ;[

Welcome newcomers. Looking forward to many pxts of your lots.
Popped out to buy a gift for my nephew whoโs turning 3 soon. (Heโs my favourite nephew as heโs the only one shorter than me - not that difficult. The other two are 6โ4โ+.) Decided to wear a faux leather top I picked up in winter & never got round to wearing. Perfect for this time of year. But my shoes are a little big on me now - sigh!

Ahhhhh, the classic jean jacket. A timeless staple for every wardrobe! These are my two favorites purchased after WLS. Great for concealing saggy arms, too. You must model for us your new consignment finds, plus that perfect little jean jacket when you find it! Fun. I just love ms.sss's jacket, too. It would look splendid with her gauzy pieces before summers end. I'm currently on the look out for a white jean jacket to replace former size 2X one. ;]

I am currently 2 & 1/2 Months Post-Op (had surgery on 5/13/19). I am an Alumness Consultant to the Technology Student Association at my former high school, so I wore this today while volunteering at their Open House. I feel great! ๐

Okay, here goes. A work in progress... The height challenged with 35 - 40 pounds to go! Excited considering these before pics at 258 - 266 pounds, size 2X or 3X. OOTD's include errand day cheering on our team and weekend getaway with hubby this past June. White jean capri outfit here has been replaced with a size smaller. Throwing in a๐ little puppy love, too!
