clear liquid post op depends on what type of surgery? sleeve not as restricted as bypass?

I made the choice not to mention this to others. I avoided the negative feedback. I am doing the bypass for my health and live a healthier lifestyle with this bypass as a tool to help me. I tested this out by saying, what do you think of my friend who is going to have a bypass to help her lose weight for her health? All the response was negative.

I have reflux and was told bypass was a better choice. When I meet with my surgeon on the 6th of August, than I will know my surgery date.

I already ordered chewable multivitamin, iron, calcium, Vit D and have these on hand. I also have unsweetened jello, bariatric powder shakes, protein powder shakes and protein drinks on hand. I plan ahead and feel comfortable that I am set to go on this new healthy, successful journey.

Awesome! I will either be one or two weeks. I am hoping one week. Looks like self pay and insurance are different. Lucky you and I am so excited for you. Stay healthy and stay safe. My current wt is 200 lbs, 5 ft 1 inch.

In the nutrition class, we were notified when the surgeon gives us a date, we will get the optifast liquid diet to shrink the liver to help the surgeon do the surgery and obtain a faster recovery process.

Anyone being scheduled in August? I meet with my surgeon on August 6th and get my date for surgery. So excited and welcome my upcoming successful journey of obtaining my goal.

It is July 2020 and waiting for my surgeon meeting to discuss optifast and surgery date. Anxious, nervous, scared. Dumping symptoms is to be avoided of sugar and fat. Eating slow till liquid to ease the food down and remembering to watch liquid intake before and after consuming food according the the various stages as suggested.
