Stay away from the scale!! The stall will break. Try measuring during this time. I'm at a stall now, almost 5 months po, and even though the scale isn't moving, I'm losing inches!

I'm fine giving people a number. I'm proud of that number!! But it makes me feel uncomfortable when they tell me "You look great". I appreciate it, but like you, It makes me wonder what I looked like before. I usually come back with, Thanks, the important thing is I feel great!

Hi!! It will get easier. In the moment, it feels like this phase drags by, but it will pass.

I'm almost 3 months po and mine usually runs 90/60. My body is still adjusting to it!!

I'm only 3 months out and I'm on the second week of my period! I'm hoping hormones will level out.

I was drinking Premier Protein before surgery, but can really stomach them since. I really like the fairlife Protein drinks. Salted caramel is my absolute favorite. I have also been playing around with making my own flavors with using the powders. I just went to Pinterest and looked up bariatric shakes. I've tried a few different recipes just to change it up some.

I only had to do clear liquids the day before surgery.

I live in Mississippi but this is the psych eval I did. You take an online assessment first and then the Dr. calls you to do an interview over the phone. Just make sure it is accepted by your surgical team. I paid out of pocket and it was $130.

I was sleeved on 12/9. There have been a few times that I have tried foods that were on my plan, my body wasn't ready for it yet. My surgeon told me to trust my body. If something made me feel uncomfortable, wait and try it again in a few days.

These are such an inspiration. I'm 5 weeks out and have hit a stall, the scale did move some this morning, and I have been so discouraged. Every time I have lost weight in the past, I would stall after losing 20 lbs or so, and then gain 30. I love seeing the before and after pictures because I feel like with this tool, there is hope!! Thank you all for sharing.

On 1/10/2021 at 6:21 PM, IWantTheDream said:OMG let me tell you this dish was life changing for me and so simple and it’s all thanks to Tabatha Brown on YouTube. I am a very bad cook buttt omg this was I think the most delicious meal I have ever made myself lol. If anyone else want to know how to cook vegan go to YouTube and search Tabatha Brown. I think she should have her own cooking show. I am in love with her taco Tuesday in the airfrier . This measures at 4oz and I did finish but I felt sick I was so full but damn it was delicious.
It has
chickpea
Green, red, yellow, orange peppers
Purple onion
Mushrooms
And
Taco seasoning
Garlic
Turmeric (just a pinch for anti inflammatory)
Paprika
Everything but the Bagels
Pink Himalayan salt.
And in my bowl I pit a few slices of avocado and feta cheese crumbles n fresh spinach.
I did put a few other seasoning then she did but omg it’s delicious I can’t wait to eat again I may have to have some tomorrow for breakfast.I read this entire post in Tabitha Brown's voice. "Like so, like that"!!! This looks delicious

I'm actually choosing to not eat Cereal right now. It's definitely been a weakness for me in the past, so I'm going to avoid it for a little while. My dietician recommended Cheerios, Special K or Bran Flakes with almond milk or low fat fairlife.

I had surgery on 12/9. I've also lost 27 pounds. I've been stuck now for about a week. Everyone on here says that there is a normal stall around week 3-4. I stopped weighing daily and am now focusing on inches lost, new clothes I'm fitting into, and just trying to enjoy the journey. I would be lying if I said it didn't bother me, but I'm trying to not obsess over it!!!

I have always been hot natured. Most of the time I would sleep with a blanket at all. Now I'm cold all of the time. I've had to buy a heater for under my desk at work. I now sleep with two blankets at night. I bring a jacket and gloves everywhere. I'm glad to not be hot, but this is crazy too!!!

Bless your heart. I've had them twice and they were very painful. Praying you have a speedy recovery.

I joined this group when I started my journey in July. I've read so many posts about the 3-4 week stall. I knew it was coming and I still wasn't prepared. I was sleeved on 12/9. I've been stuck at 218 for days....... I'm trying to focus on non-scale goals, but it's so hard not seeing it move!! How did you push through your stall???

Sleeved on 12/9. I brought my phone charger, toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant, an extra change of clothes, slippers, and chapstick. I was pretty minimalistic with packing. Wish I would have brought my pillow!!

I have anxiety which has gotten worse in the last several months. My dr. adjusted my medicines and it has been very manageable. When I went for my EGD in September, I was very anxious, for no reason at all. So I knew when surgery day came, I would be anxious that day as well. I was sleeved on 12/9. I had no issues. By the time I made it to the preop area, they started my iv and started me on Versed and a Scopolamine patch and I was fine. It all went by pretty quickly and I didn't have time to think about it. My anxiety hasn't been any different since surgery. I have been more irritable, but I'm sure that because my family is still eating food and I can't!!
What should I aim for in terms of healthy goal weight?

My surgeon has set his goal for me around 170-175. My BMI would still be 30... which is obese. I didn't have a number goal to start off with. I just wanted to feel good and feel comfortable with how I look. Now I'm trying to figure out a number, because not setting a goal has made me lose my focus. I'm thinking around 140-150.
