  1. Dude, You lost 20 lbs in 9 days? That is insane! Dude! You lost 20 lbs in 9 days?? That is insane! I had my call this week with my NUT and at 7 weeks I was averaging 3.7 lbs lost a week which she said was amazing. I've had 3 stalls in 7 weeks lasting from 5 days to a week or more. Really all you can do is just keep doing what your medical team tells you and don't deviate from it. In the long run if you average 3 lbs a week then you will be at goal this year. Hang in there...This is a marathon not a sprint.
  2. Popsicle is kind like both...counts for 2 ozs of liquid each.
  3. Never thought I would be a fan of SF popsicles but those babies are tasty!
  4. Looking good BG! I am hoping that 30 calories will be OK...I have a ritual right now.
  5. Let me also say that I may be an exception to the little or no pain scenario. I do think this journey has been easier because I had the band earlier. About the only good thing I will say about my band experience. I have around 68 lbs to go and honestly know that I have the right tool to get there. BTW I used the surgeon that did the lap band surgery initially.
  6. I too had the God forsaken band when I was 49. I had revision to sleeve at 63...on 2/23 and wish I had done it about 12 -13 years earlier. You will not regret this decision. You will be able to eat some things with less trouble with the sleeve... just smaller portions. I work from home but had surgery on Tuesday and went back to work on Thursday...I could have gone back to work on Wednesday but had a 4 hour drive home. The only pain I experienced was on the day of the surgery and when I had my first BM post op (8 days later). I stayed so doped up in the hospital that I really didn't have much pain. Best decision I have made in a while. I am down 42 lbs since Jan 26th. Good luck...I am glad I did this.

    Four-Butt

Are you doing any weight lifting to help?

    Water Weight

So true! When I gain weight it has to be water weight because my caloric intake is so low I don't see how I can be gaining on any given day right now.
  9. Had a GF that had this. Still struggles with it. I can see why the nurse was confused as this is probably a rare situation.

    Maybe TMI

No...And I had been taking stool softener for several days at that point and still do take them.

    Maybe TMI

8 days for me. You better start taking some stool softener today. When I finally did have a BM it was like delivering a couple of large rocks...TWINS! Not fun.
  12. Is it a capsule or chewable? What other vitamins are you taking?
  13. I have read FB is bad for your mental health. 99% of post on here are good or entertaining. You do get the ones about Cocaine, weed and booze that many just ignore because they are so bizarre....but they do have entertainment value

Post-op Portions help (1 month out)

This is not uncommon it seems. Once I got back on real food the intake is less than other phases. I have been able to drink liquids and eat soups/puree without what seemed like much restriction. Food about half to three quarters of a cup and I better stop. I have really been fortunate that I have not been sick or have any pain (other than day of surgery gas pain) a single time. I did drink a whole protein shake with added Whey & collagen powder that was a bit much. I drink in 2 parts now instead of all at once.
  15. My scales had gone up on me a couple of pounds. I didn't think I was eating too much but dialed it back anyway.Hell I am not hungry, just eating because that is what we do! You "know" when you have lost weight but the scales are not moving? I knew I had to be losing but some how the scales were not moving. I have been lifting and may have put on some muscle weight. I decided this week I would go back to liquid. I did eat a scoop of chicken salad. I believe this forum helps you stay on track. ONWARD!!!......YEEEHAA!!!!
  16. Thanks Cat! I was already under 800 cals most days. Not constipated. Water or MUSCLE...Yes!
