Ever since i got my last fill, i been finding that i burp alot. Everytime i eat or drink anything i burp and burp. Does this happen to any of you?

Hi Smith, I work at a cardiologist office but im in Nj. Are you over 40 because if you are over 40 you might not require a stress test. But check with you physician. Another thing well at least in nj ,cardiolgist have a "clinic' that they have to "offer" their free services to plp that have no insurance. Call your locar Hospital and see if those services are available in Dallas. Good Luck. Another thing you said a stress echo, there is diference in a stress test and a stress test.

ok so i got my second fill on 1-24-07. my total fill is 3.4 and have been eating solids since last friday, my question is every time i eat something i feel it going down, it almost feels like its getting stuck and is bothersome but it does not hurt, but then i can feel it pass. I have not have any pb yet, but i do get slimmie. I chew my food really good but that still happens. Do you guys think im to tight or will i be ok in the near future. i just don't want to damage my band!! any advise will be appreciated.

Can you damage your band if you get hiccupps? Thank you

I think he is trying to get paid the better bucks that your insurance will pay for the bypass insteadof the band. I would get another Dr. Good luck.:embarassed:

I have a 10mm? band and recently i got my 1st fill (on nov 29, was banded on 10-12-06) i was given 3cc's but i feel no restriction, My sister who also was banded in feb. could not keep anything down with 3.2 cc's, my question is shouldn't i feel a good restriction with 3cc's? I see my surgeon on jan 5 but that's 3 weeks from now and im getting desperate. How about if i have a "lemon band". Your input will be appreciated, thank you!

It hurts everytime i eat something, no matter what it is. But i don't feel full when im done eating what im eating it just hurts everytime i swallow, I had my 1st fill two weeks ago but not sure if my restriction is good. I was give 3cc's. Can someone tell me please. I dont want to get an erotion or something. Thanks...

hey what kind of insurace do you have? And do you live in NOrth Jersey? My insurace covered my psych eval. I only had to pay my copay!

I had the same pain after surgery, i come and goes very quickly. I asked my Dr. and he said it's gas. im my case exercise made it better. Needless to say i no longer get this pains I think i goes away after a while..

HI Cindy, My Dr. Was Dr. Samir Patel in Egg Harbor Twp Nj. And let me tell you no office will work as hard as this office to get approved. Liz who is the Pre cert lady @ Dr. Patel's was great with me and my sister who also had the band. She got me approved Quick. In one day. My advise will be if you can come to jersey and go to this office im telling they will get you approved. But form what Liz told me is that insurances are getting tougher and tougher to approve this surgeries, they requiere a whole history of diets and attempts. Can i ask you how much do you weight and your height, do you have any health problems?my BMI was only 41 and they got me approved and i have no other problems. Let me Know and good luck to you. Dr P's # is 609-926-5000. They are super nice in that office and Dr. P is the best around here.

HI Cheri, The first thing you need to do is go to your PCP and ask for a referral to go to Lapband surgeon. You might have to go to some type of meeting before they make your 1st appt. And regarding your insurance you should just call them and find out what the requiremets are all insurances are diferent with diferent policies. In My insurance website i found out the same thing you did and but i got approved in one day!!!!so my advise will be to call them directly and find out. And if you have been over weight and have co-morbies they might not need any of the "other junk" that they require!!! Don't let this be a set back for you! Good luck to you. i have a smallgallstone and my Dr. didnot remove my gallbladder, i think it all depends on the surgeon!! good luck.

mine came the day before my surgery, i was able to wear a tampon.

im a girl and where i had my surgery they didn't require a catherer,because its only an 1 hr procedure i think your best bet would to ask your Dr.he might be able to tell you if he requires it.
