ok..so now that i have saved the money for the surgery im now told i need to have a stress test (echo) ...GREAT!...anyone know of a cheap cardiologist? i had my heart tested 3 years ago and its healthy...this time i dont have insurance so im completely out of pocket on this test thats required before i have lapband...ive been quotes 1300-1900 bucks! GEEZ...can a get a break here? I am located in the Far North Dallas area but willing to drive ...heck...ill go to a clinic just to get a faxed paper saying im good to go! im sooo ready to have the surgery...more hurdles to jump again...:faint:

I work at a cardiologist office but im in Nj. Are you over 40 because if you are over 40 you might not require a stress test. But check with you physician. Another thing well at least in nj ,cardiolgist have a "clinic' that they have to "offer" their free services to plp that have no insurance. Call your locar Hospital and see if those services are available in Dallas. Good Luck. Another thing you said a stress echo, there is diference in a stress test and a stress test.
