thanks for checkin in on me..well i am ok..i had my consult scheduled for today 12/4 only to get to work monday to find out that we are no longer going to be using cigna and that as of 1/09 we are going to be using aetna's insurance.that caused me to have to reschedule my consult til after the 1st and i am now scheduled for the 6th. there was no reason in me going and having them run things thru with cigna if come january it is switching to aetna. :frown: i wont know too much about the plan until it gets closer to the 1st. i can call them but without giving them all the group # etc they wont know exactly what the job picked for the co..

Thanks sooo much for thinking of me! U won't believe that I am going through now! I came in to work on Monday to find out that as of 1-09' my company is switching to Aetna so I rescheduled my consult to 1/6 because there was no reason for me to go to the consult on 12/4 using Cigna and they start the process and come Jan. they have to start all over with the verification process. It makes me sooo angry girl! Now I don't know if Aetna is going to cover it or not! We dont have any info on Aetna as of yet. All I know is that it is going to be the Aetna Open Access Plus Plan...Thanks for ur friendship!

U are not going to believe this! I get to work on Monday to find an email stating that as of 1-09' our company is now going to be using Aetna's Open Access Plus Plan. No more Cigna. I had my consult scheduled for this Thursday 12/4 and now I rescheduled it to 1/6 as there is no need for me to use Cigna now and they start the approval process when come Jan. the insurance changes. I am sooo frustrated. I will know more about the Aetna Ins Policy closer to the middle of this month. I am sooo discouraged!

happy for you! i hope that i can get something going soon! i have had problems in the past getting financed because my husband and i dont have any credit and that is just like having bad credit. sooooooooo, that leaves me kinda hand-tied because i just started a new job and they have cigna which i wont have for 2 more months and i am not so sure that it would cover any wls.

hey girl! i spoke to another rep who told me that wls was excluded unless medically necessary soooo i am sure that mines is going to be considered medically necessary since i have a BMI of 49..i dont have any other comorbities unless they use depression as one...i do have back aches and pain in my legs sometimes...i will mention that to the dr..i have decided to give wade barker a try..i have a consult on 12/4 at 5:45 so atleast i made the 1st step! whooo-hoo....how are u feeling? girl my husband is really stressed as i have been looking at the RNY alot...i hear sooo much about revision etc with the lapband that it scares me...what u think?

hey girlie! i am doing good. how was ur week and what are u doing this weekend? just doing my homework and studying as much as i can. i am now really looking into the sleeve because i am thinking that may be better for me. what u know about that?
