  1. I'm able to throw back liquids like nobodies business without feeling sick but food is a different story. I'm able to eat up to 4oz of food and if I go anywhere past that I feel awful. Nothing feels worse than feeling like your about to throw up for an 1hr and a half.
  2. My doctor told me to get Simethicone 80mg chewable tablets and take it after eating and I've been able to handle gas pretty well. I've even been eating hummus almost daily at this point and I'm feeling fine.
  3. I miss meat! If anything is going to break me it's gonna be some meat.
  4. I was sleeved on the 16th as well but I'm not having that problem. I'm able to drink decent amount of water without having to worry about any pain. I will say though today was the first time I pooped in 3 weeks lol
  5. I had to do a 7 day pre op diet but for some stupid reason I decided to do mine a week early, if not for the sugar free jello pudding I was allowed to have I don't think I would have made it. I mostly just drowned myself in water when I felt hungry and if I felt really really hungry I went for the protein powder. I was also allowed to have 40oz of plain greek yogurt everyday and since I hate plain greek yogurt I added my favorite liquid crystal light to it and it was amazing.
  6. I woke up this morning fine and was able to do my normal get up and walk around routine, I'm 4 days out so far so I took a shower and afterwards I fell asleep which is pretty normal to me but when I woke up and tried to walk on my right leg the back of my knee keeps giving me pain and also my leg keeps giving out. I'm not seeing any swelling or bruising but I've had to resort to using a crutch to walk around now. Going to have to go to the hospital pretty soon. Has anyone else experienced this?
  7. My surgeon has me on a 2 week full liquid diet after my surgery. I'd love to get to the puree stage. Until then I'll have to survive by chewing my vitamins and my tongue lol
  8. I had my surgery a couple days ago and since then I've been on the liquid diet and I drink and drink all day without feeling any sort of limit. Is that normal? I'm starting to doubt that my surgeon even took my stomach out.
  9. My doctor didn't give me a goal and only said he wouldn't do the surgery if I gained weight. My nutritionist had me set goals which were 350, almost there and 250 then my final goal is 180.
  10. I had my surgery yesterday morning and now I'm back home. I feel sore all over my body is that normal? They put 8 almost 9 holes in me btw.
  11. I liked weighing myself weekly but then my scale keeps screaming at me to step on it so I do it every time I go to the bathroom.?
  12. Might be head hunger; emotional hunger. But that's not a bridge I've crossed yet so maybe someone else has that's had the surgery already will know.
  13. I remember eating so much during thanksgiving that my stomach hurt throughout the night, if it's that kind of full you're talking about I don't want it.
  14. Mine is on the 16th too, starting to get a bit nervous lol
  15. Click your name at the top right and go to My Tickers, then Create Ticker on the upper right
  16. I have 2 days left and I'm excited. Can't even sleep because I've been hyping myself up all night. I'm sure I'll be nervous when I'm laying down being carted into the surgery room though. The people that got their surgery before the pandemic are so lucky they got to have family members and friends with them before they got to go in. They won't even let my family past the main entrance.
  17. I hyped myself up so much yesterday and I still have to wait 4 more days. Covid test tomorrow, not looking forward to it again. It's not like I go anywhere as an introvert, my life is self quarantine lol
  18. I've just been told to do some walking around during my pre-op, I've lost like 10lbs in a week by just sticking to my pre-op diet and walking a bit. 4 more days until my big day.
  19. Wasn't planning on bringing my hoodie and sweat pants to the hospital but looks like I will be now lol
  20. I hope they don't reschedule mine on the 16th. I've already started my 10 day pre-op diet and I'm on day 5, I'll go crazy!
  21. My doctor lets me have plain greek yogurt but I hate the taste of it so I add in my favorite liquid crystal light and it tastes amazing! That's like the only recipe I've been using, everything else has just been store bought single portion stuff.
  22. Last Meal Syndrome hit me hard a couple weeks ago. I was eating all my favorite foods like it was my last time ever having them. I finally got myself under control by reminding myself what I was losing weight for and looked at my wall of quotes to get me back in my rhythm. "Don't give up what you want the most for what you want in the moment." and "Remember your dreams are as hungry as your demons. Make sure your feeding the right ones." Are my favorite quotes. It also helps to have boss baby on my door.
  23. I heard people used gas-x strips to combat the gas but they were discontinued. My surgery is coming up so I picked up some Mylanta gas minis chewable tablets. I'll have to ask if I can take them though or fight through the pain.
  24. I have my surgery on the 16th, I'm only told my mother and she's been my biggest supporter. I usually keep things to myself so the rest of my family and friends can freak out by my future weight loss.
  25. We're surgery twins! Just a week left to the start of our new lives! Best of luck to you.
