  1. I had Dr.Speigel do my surgery and felt his experience was the most important thing to me. As far as my band it is fine and my surgery was 4/25/05 . I agree that his office staff and his bed side manner are lacking a bit but I decided his experience was the most important thing. Now that I am without insurance I might change doctors. I have not decided. It's slow going for me but one day at a time will do just fine.
  2. Hello I am new here and was happy to see a slow loser group. I have only lost 22 pound over the last year and that is my fault I do not exercise and I drink coke. My regular doctors agreed it would be good for me to do the banding even if it took me awhile (since my insurance paid it all)since my sickness PTSD caused me to gain the 40 pounds. Which made me weight just enough for my insurance to pay any less and they would not have paid. I never was thin but I was at least a size 16 and happy now I am a 20 and was more. My goal is less than before 150 would be good. So I have 38 to go. But I am working at it slowly as I get better from my illness. If anyone wants to know about what PTSD is just ask. It nice to have a place to say something about my band. It took a few fills but he finally got it right with a fancy x-ray machine. I have not been filed in a year but it still works great because if I eat just a bit to much it comes out. Also if I do not chew well it comes up. But I know pretty well how to do since it has been a over a year I was banded 4/27/05.....:funscale: Judy
