You would benefit from seeing a psychiatrist, too. You may need medication for chronic anxiety issues. It can make a world of difference. Don't just ask your primary care physician. Psychiatrists know far more about psychotropic medication.

I have anxiety issues anyway, and take supplements (ashwagandha and an L-theanine/GABA combo) for it. But you might want to make an appointment with a psychiatrist, because they're dab hands at fixing anxiety and dissociation, rather than relying on hospital tests.
The last two years have been insanely hard on everyone so it's no surprise that mental health care is becoming more urgent. Just take care of yourself.

Thankyou!!! You honestly took the words right out my mouth lol was stressed out in the hospital and have people investigating me online. It’s ridiculous they act like it’s a miracle that I started doing better while getting treatment. but I’m glad you are both doing great!! that’s amazing to hear. I’ve been doing good and pray it stays this way ❤️ ty again -

Hey Celeste, sorry to hear you are still having a bad time, not sure if you remember but i went through hell too...still am struggling 7 months on (i had the emergency bypass a week after my sleeve).
I really think it sounds like you need an endoscopy so they can get the camera in there and have a proper look. You are getting so dehydrated to need hospital admission and if the swallow test showed nothing then they need to investigate further, so let them know!
Not easy when you feel so awful but just do it and get sorted.
I got rudely woken by bile rushing up in my sleep the other night and I inhaled it, I literally thought I was dying, pure acid going down your airway is horrendously painful. I now have a wet chunky cough so am trying to cough half hourly to prevent pneumonia developing.
Like seriously when are all the bl**dy issues going to stop waaaaaa
Ignore any nasty people on here they aren't worth the energy Big Hugs x

@Bastian maybe you should go back and read where all this started. Some of us tried giving her advice and she basically told us to F off.
Some of us come here dishing out medical advice, which we should not. We do give our thoughts and suggestions. And when she was questioned on a few things that didn't add up... we were met with animosity.
I was not rude nor did i say anything that wasn't the truth. I shut up when she said...... I didn't ask for advice. So she is a non issue to me. We'll hear from her again when she fails and blames the sleeve. Seen it hundreds of time.

Ma’am I don’t see where I’ve “asked” . I simply put updates up on how I’m feeling and people give tips which I’m grateful for. I know exactly how to structure a sentence AND spell correctly. I’m not going any further with you because I know where I stand. Thank you -

This can’t be real. I don’t even know you to dislike you, I just didn’t like the way you worded things as if you were some sort of detective. Maybe I should’ve went into full detail for you I just don’t see why it’s so important. and please don’t say things like “throw up into the radiologists face” thats ridiculous.

Omg. Shame on you people for being so nasty. You all are acting like she is lying and your trying to play detective. That’s just horrible!! As if she isn’t stressed out enough. Sorry Celeste97 that your going through this. It will get better in time. My friend had similar experiences to you. She’s a year post op now and doing great. I’ve been lucky to have no issue at 8 months out. Hang in there. Take it day by day and ignore the negativity ❤️

Wow, I am sorry people are being so grouchy with you! I had the same situation happen.. had to go to the ER twice upper EGD and IV treatments sometimes two times a week. I know your struggle and it does get better.. the best advice my doctor gave me was.... it sucks but if you don't make yourself drink and eat you will be coming here every week. Slowly I recovered... give yourself that rest and go slowly.. Soup worked for me. Trust me it is for sure worth it!!

I’m glad to hear your swallow test came back great and you are starting to cope with your new normal. It’s not easy and I know that. I couldn’t find too many people to relate to who took long to recover so I can understand you feeling in the dark and fed up.
Hopefully now you are able to keep something down, no matter what it is. Everyone’s body reacts differently. Try to find something you can tolerate and stick with it. For me it was watermelon for 3 months... why? Idk. It was the only thing that I was able to keep down and kept me hydrated.
Good luck and keep remembering that eventually you will see a light at the end of the tunnel. ❤️

Just had another swallow test , and once again everything is clear and “beautiful” as my doctor said. No one seems to understand why I keep throwing up but I’m back down to stage 3 with food. I don’t really wanna go home just yet if this is gonna continue
