  2. Wow....I need to visit this site more often, and post some new pictures....

  3. I went to the Doctor yesterday...I am still at 174 pounds, down from 298 pounds! I am excited because I have finally peaked in terms of my loss. The doctor took pictures with me and even asked me to do a radio and tv promotion. Lol, me.

  4. I am so sorry for the last response...I haven't been here in forever. I only went to the gym once a week towards the end, I went to curves everyday in the beginning. My main exercise was walking. As a matter of fact, I went to the Dr yesterday...I am 174 pds, BMI is 24, and I have lost 15 inches off my stomach alone. Good luck to you! Remember the band is a tool...you do the work.

  9. Thank you! You look awesome! People think the band does all the work, but I know you have worked hard to get to your goal! Keep up the good work!

  10. Thank you for the encouragement! It is a major decision, and one not to take lightly...it is not without its limits, side-effects. Good luck, and keep me posted!

  11. I am so excited for you! Remember start walking the day of surgery, assuming you have no complications! Start moving and dont stop! Dont ever stop! The band is NOT magic, and it will NOT work without your discipline, and sweat equity! You will only see results, if you DO THE Work! Good luck, God bless...and I will see you at your goal!!!

  12. Thank you for your kind words of encouragement & the compliments! I feels so good to shed that necessary weight! It is amazing how many people walk pass me and dont realize me. Walking has truly been my staple...no one could have ever, ever, ever, sold me on walking! As flabby as my stomach was....walking has made an amazing 20inches difference in my abdomen & waist alone. Keep walking to better health! You can do it!

  13. Updated 3/20/09 Whew! I am at the half way point!

  16. I love that blog page! Keep up the good work! I am in an size 18 as well! Shera is on her job (that is the name of my band), but losingwgt is not doing too bad herself...I am loving life, and as my weight shrinks, my attitude is increasing!

  17. Please be encouraged! It is not really about the band induced restriction...it is about Us learning to restrict ourselves, and that is difficult! It will get easier as we learn to discipline & restrict ourselves...oh what a TASK! Please be mindful that the band does not do the work, it is only a tool. If only I had realized before. I am doing much better...I am 230 from 298 pounds.

  18. How exciting! 2morrow is the BIG "little band" that will change the rest of your life day! This is your moment for the light to shine on you! Self-pay! That is a goal! You are a WINNER! Enjoy your journey...its your season!

  19. My first fill I believe was 6weeks after surgery. My band holds 10ccs and I have 8ccs currently. My bandiversary is 3/27/09.

  20. Welcome to the official band club! How did surgery go?

  21. Lol..lapband motivation speaker! I'll take that, I try to be as encouraging as possible, but I will get in where I fit in! Please let me know how the Zumba classes turn out they are offered here too! I will look into it for the spring!

  22. Thank you for the kind compliment! You will do well! Just follow the plan, I learned the hard way, the band is NOT magic! I have to work at losing the weight! Today is a discouraging day, but I know tomorrow will be a different day...work it one day at a time! Keep in touch and good luck!

  23. I have heard of Zumba, but I havent done too much research! Do something that you enjoy, and that you will maintain. I really dont like exercise, but I enjoy the results, and the attention is unbelievable! I am finally after three months looking forward to my daily walks...it is my time to do something for myself! Listen to everything that your doctor says, and take your time. We slowly let the weight add up, enjoy the journey as the weight decreases. Please address the emotional issues that aided in the weight gain...we tend to forget that there are some emotional behind the scenes unresolved issues for allowing ourselves to become overweight(my personal opinion).

  24. I believe it or not...I walk 40 minutes at breakfast and 40 minutes at lunch at work. I walk in the building (does nothing for scenery) but the inches are melting away! I work up a good sweat! I just added four flights of stairs. I have gotten so much attention at work. Most dont know I had surgery so they see me power walking. I must admit, it is a little embarrassing getting so much attention. It takes some serious adjustments, seeing all the weight gone! It is no magic! It takes work! You CAN DO IT! Good luck and let me know of you progress!
