What you're going through is completely normal. I took prescription pain meds off and in the first 4 weeks. I even called my doctor's office 3 weeks postop crying because I was in so much pain. What helped was to use one of those stick on pads that gets hot with a Spanx type garment over it.
Hang in there. It will get better. I woke up on the 4th week anniversary with no pain. I was sure it would come back, but nope it hasn't and today I'm 7 weeks postop.

I had really bad pain in my right incision. When I left the hospital it looked like my surgeon had tried to sew a button on my belly, it was all pulled in an hurt terribly when I stood up especially. I am coming up on four weeks post op. Last week it was hurting so bad one day and the next day it was much better. Now it is just really tender. I think as the swelling goes down and healing continues it gets tender to the touch but you dont have that burning feeling anymore. Hang in there, it DOES get better. And by the way it is not all pulled in anymore either.

Its always Amazing -from the pureed stage all the way to regular foods, its a staple for me because its no cook and so quick , mostly just prep work ready in 5 mins:Salmon (pouched or canned) mayo, spices(sweet curry powder, red curry powder, onion and garlic powder, pepper, salt, anything else you like)! Enjoy!!!

    Brilliant, T.
We definitely need more fun, original, and helpful threads. I'm making an attempt to get something helpful started (the mini WL dictionary/glossary*), and now you've come up with this fun AND helpful idea.
I'd also be interested in seeing typical meals with honest serving portions (pre-surgery, even before the ALL-LIQUID pre-diet). The subsequent photo(s) could be a typical meal(s) AFTER surgery (post-healing). There might be some significant time lapse between the photos. The BEFORE photos could be honest re-creations meant to show one's previous unhealthy food choices and less-than-ideal serving portions. Tip: Place a familiar object (edible or non-edible) on or near the plate so we can get a reasonable sense of scale.

Slim-Slimma reacted to gully90 in Pregnancy After Sleeve & Sleeve After Delivery
Hey everyone!! I had the sleeve done in June of 2018. I lost almost 60 lbs. My start weight at point of surgery was approx. 200 and I got down to 143 within 4 months after surgery. I then got pregnant and successfully delivered my baby boy on August 1, 2019. On day of delivery I weighed 174. Since delivery I’m down to 147 and it hasn’t been a month yet. The sleeve worked during pregnancy and even now. I monitored my weight and continued to eat good while pregnant. But mostly I’m never hungry.

I said all this to say that it is possible to be pregnant within the first year of getting the sleeve surgery and maintain your weight. Just monitor everything and remember to be as healthy as you can!

Below are pictures of before pregnancy at 143, me at 9 months and me today at 147!!!

FYI: I had a csection so I’m sure I still have inflammation.

Hello everyone, it's been a while since I've been on here. The last time I was here was sometime in April, I was almost 4 months postOp and about 6 or 7 weeks pregnant. Well for those who wonder if it's possible to go through the whole pregnancy while still trying to loose weight, the answer is YES! I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and my baby is doing extremely well. As for my weight, I'm pretty much still at my goal weight, plus or minus a pound here and there. But I haven't gained weight at all. Surprise, right? I am too. My baby now weighs just over 4lbs and I'm nesting like crazy, busy preparing nursery and awaiting his arrival. Feel free to ask any questions related to being pregnant and going through weight loss, and I'll do my best to answer. Oh and thank you to all of those who supported and encouraged me back in March/April, I really appreciate you all

Slim-Slimma reacted to mousecat88 in Brachioplasty (arm lift) - are you happy with the results?
I have my arm lift in less than 3 weeks. I'm going to come up with some badass story about my scars. Scars don't bother me at all (better than saggy skin and stretch marks, imo), but I'm still going to tell people I escaped prison through barbed wire.

I'm down 55lbs since surgery 3 months ago and definitely noticing sagging and softness.
I'm wearing a new, VERY tight compression shirt today and my organs hurt and I think it's causing nerve damage. But I keep getting compliments, so 🤷‍♂️!

    Hi!
I'm wondering where you're from/what type of insurance plan you have? I actually work for a large insurance company and if you're going to an in-network plastic surgeon, they are contractually bound to accept whatever rate the insurance company offers. So, if you were trying to get the service done by an out of network provider, that could be the problem.

    Hi
look into some of the high Protein Pasta thats out there. They taste good and you can get up to 30 grams of protein in a 3 ounce serving. Don’t give up, it just takes more work. I’m willing to add protein to my Water or drink shakes if it keeps me on track. The key is just to try whats best for you. There has never been more quality info out there for people like us to take advantage of.
