  1. I appreciate the assurance that it's ok to call. So true about them making $$$ off me, ha! I'll be sure to be very polite when I call and hopefully I can get some answers. Thanks!
  2. That does make me feel better! I’ve really convinced myself of the worst case scenarios! ? I think I’ll find something soothing to do now!
  3. Thank you so much! You’ve made me feel better about reaching out to them. I’m sorry you had to keep contacting the surgeon’s office though. That had to have been a pain! Once again, thank you! ?
  4. I just need to get something off my chest in the hopes it'll make me feel better. I had all of my pre-surgery tests on July 29th. I was told I'd be called back within 2 weeks to schedule my surgery. Yesterday was 2 weeks. I've been keeping my phone with me like a magnet with the ringer turned WAY up, even at work. I'm on pins & needles just waiting for the phone to ring. I thought for sure I'd get the call today but it's 2pm and their office closes at 4pm. I know I'm being impatient & there are more important things in the world so I should just chill but I can't. I'm scared that the tests showed something that will keep me from getting the surgery. I'm scared that they've lost my information. I'm scared that they tried calling me but my phone glitched and I didn't receive the call & they are waiting for me to call them back. I know I could just call the office to see the status but I don't want the office staff to label me as a troublemaker from the very beginning. This whole thing has got me so down. Thanks for "listening"
  5. That's good to know about bananas because I do enjoy them & hated to give them up. I'll probably have to look at my blood pressure dosage eventually too. I'm glad you are feeling better! My Yonanas is well passed the return window so I guess I'll see what I can do with it! ? Thanks!
  6. Great, thank you for letting me know! They look delicious so I hope I can find them post-op!
  7. Do you think the Fit & Active 20 calorie bars would work for the pre & post op popsicles I can have or is that a big no-no?!
  8. Do any of y'all use a Yonanas dessert maker? I bought mine when I was doing Weight Watchers but never even opened the box. I thought it might be useful, especially during the puree & soft food stage after surgery. I know bananas tend to be high in natural sugars so that's why I'm wondering if I should use it. Thank you!
  9. Is/was anyone else just worn down & exhausted before your surgery? It’s not from expending too much energy because I don’t have much to spend. It just feels like my body is done with the strain of carrying this extra weight around for two decades. (I’m 40) I’ve had my pre-op tests so if it’s actually something medical, it would hopefully show up. It really doesn’t feel like symptoms from a disease or anything. It just feels like my body has had enough.
  10. My hair started thinning years ago. I'm going to be having gastric sleeve surgery soon so I can only imagine how thin my hair is going to get. Last year I found a powder that fills in the thinning areas and it really works. The one I found is the consistency of eye shadow but came with a stiff brush to kinda dapple it on. Maybe you can find something like that to use until your hair starts getting thicker again?
  11. That sounds so good!!! Thanks for sharing!
  12. I've gotten Premier Protein cafe latte flavor powder so I'll definitely try that with almond milk. I don't know why the ready to drink ones aren't as palatable but they sure aren't! Thanks guys!
  13. Great question! I kept meaning to ask this! ? Good luck with your surgery. I'm waiting for the call to schedule my surgery any day now!
  14. Wishing you an easy recovery!
  15. I hope everything goes smooth with your surgery & recovery! You will do fantastic!
  16. As someone who is just a few days away from getting her surgery date, I really needed to hear this! Thank you! You look amazing and I'm so glad you feel amazing too! I hope to check out your YT channel!
  17. I purchased a little 3 cup food processor so I’m hoping I’ll have the counter space for it, at least through the purée stage. I think I’m going to be using my mini blender a ton! I actually bought the 3 year protection plan for the blender since it’ll be used so much, ha!
  18. I thought I’d see how they do with the walmart water powder packs. I like the idea of the sugar-free Hawaiian Punch or kool-aid!
  19. Thanks so much! I didn’t even think about the hot food. I just bought a food processor. ?
  20. For the puréed food stage did y’all use a food processor or a blender? I have a mini blender with a 20 oz cup that I was thinking would work but I’m second-guessing myself now. Thanks!
  21. Thank you, I will give those molds a try! I'm glad you reminded me to put protein powder with the pudding pops & popsicles. I'm such a newbie that I may not have thought of that. ?
  22. If you use popsicle molds, what are your favorite ones? I'm overwhelmed by the choices on Amazon! I was hoping to find one that will make the typical Popsicle brand popsicle shape but I'm not having much luck so far. I'd like to make my own because I don't really care for the sugar-free Popsicles. I'm also hoping to make pudding pops if anyone has a hint on a good way to make those!
  23. My cousin had surgery with Dr. Todd Foreman at Alabama Surgical Associates in Huntsville. She said he did a wonderful job & he's very to the point. She does feel like he could've provided her with more guidance though. He seems to have good reviews online. Good luck with everything!
  24. Has anyone had surgery with Dr. David Diaz or Meridian Surgical Group located in Carmel, Indiana? I'd love to know your experience. I've only seen him during the initial consultation and I should be getting my surgery date soon. I was very impressed so I'm hoping that'll still be the case come time for surgery & post-care! Thanks!
  25. I'm grew up in Athens so hello former neighbor! I'll ask my cousin where she had hers done. She lived in Athens at the time.
