  1. Really tired of the shelter in place. But glad went kicking this virus in the butt! We go hiking 3-4 times a week. So still getting out and active. I have been nauseous lately idk why. Just every time I eat and everything I eat. I’m just like ?. Other than that doing ok.
  2. I have heard cross fit is awesome! I was thinking after I am able to hold my own to look into it. I’m A little scared to embarrass myself
  3. Did you hire a personal trainer at first?
  4. I defiantly want to get into lifting weights ASAP. I understand I’ll be tired but my body will adjust over time.
  5. Hi! I am 3 months post op. I have been hiking through the beautiful mountains in Colorado. But I have not hit the gym yet. Is there any weight training videos that would help get me started? Or anyone has any recommendations? I am concerned most that I do not have the calories in that I need to lift weights? I really want to start lifting to tone and tighten what I can? So any help and any recommendations would be great!!!! Thanks in advance! Also! Any good body weight exercises that I can do while hiking? That will help with tone and tightening? My Stats- Height-5’8” Starting weight-289 Current weight-238 Surgery date-Jan 14, 2020 ( 3 months post op)
  6. Before surgery and a couple days ago.
  7. You look amazing. I am down 50lbs. Since Jan 14. My starting weight was 289. My weight has slowed and I think I am currently in my second stall. Things have been crazy with work and the virus that I am struggling to get my life together along with my eating life. It’s a cheese stick here piece of tilapia there. The only thing I am consistent with is water. If I don’t drink a good amount of water I feel so thirsty. I also do not flavor much water. How is everyone doing with coffee? And what do I sweeten with or did I cut the sweetener all together. I am currently trying to wean myself to coffee with milk only. It’s.... going lol ? This time at home with the shelter in place order has me wanting to snack. When I am at work I am good because I am busy. But once I sit idle I feel hungry. I think I need to work on this mentally?
  8. I have lost 50lbs. So far. Feeling great. My energy is dragging still. Like blah while I work and working out is a struggle. Which I’m pretty sad about
  9. I am still feeling a lot a lot of restriction. I can eat about 2oz. I have lost track of my weeks out lol ? I think 9? Idk lol I’m 29 and hubby is 33 but he does have Hugh blood pressure which I heard also is increased chances for virus issues. So we are just trying to keep hands washed when out. We have drive up testing for the virus in Colorado. So our government is doing good.
  10. Yes California is all over the news lol our first Colorado case. Was a man from California. Traveled to Italy then home to Cali. Then to Colorado for mountain adventures. Infected 12 people (hand to face)
  11. Is the virus hitting anyone’s states hard? Colorado is getting slammed. Because we are a very outdoors recreational state many people who love to travel. Travel here. Lol
  12. Heck yea looking great!
  13. We are getting hit pretty hard in Colorado. But no one is really panicking. Just proper hygiene at my house. We didn’t stock up etc on anything. We have a good amount food as always.
  14. I only had a liquid diet 48 hours before surgery but some surgeons are different.
  15. I also only had very light incision pain and didn’t take any pain meds except Tylenol. But I took Tylenol on a regular schedule for a complete week. Every 6 hours I took Tylenol.
  16. I had my surgery Jan 14 and Jan 16 I was able to pick up and carry in a car seat. He was 4 months old at the time. I was sore but it had to be done. As I was the only one home with him I also have a 3 and 5 year old. It won’t hurt you if that’s what your worried about. It is uncomfortable and it wipes me out energy wise.
  17. I used to be a huge steak and lobster girl. And now I can not stomach the smell of beef. Any kind of beef. I can’t do it. Idk why. Pork is ok chicken is ok. But mainly we eat veggies and fish and seafood
  18. Boneless skinless chicken thighs are my go to! That and fish lol they say great with me. Chicken breast sits a little rough. Idk why
  19. Threw them out. Well donated them
  20. I think I’m starting to see my old waist :) I am struggling to lose weight in my chest still. Hmmm? Anyone else have this problem? I do spot of lifting in the gym
  21. I struggle with protein also because I do not add protein mixes. They mess with my stomach. So I get all my protein from fish chicken and veggies. Have you watch DR V on YouTube? He covers a great video on protein and how much you need etc and why a lot of programs push an insane amount of protein and what times you need to up protein like workout times etc. it is a great video. Let me try and find it https://youtu.be/MqKbHM3n9Yw
  22. I felt pretty tired. I am very active I work out. I work. And I have 3 little children one being 6 months. I went to my family doctor and got prescribed the nasal B12 just a side note my insurance was fussy over covering it without a pre auth. And it is $700. There is also a monthly injection. I would defiantly try that! Also the more I got up and moving and busy it also helped with energy. I just find myself pretty drained by the time I lay my head down. Our bodies are working very hard shedding our extra weight. So we should expect some lags.
  23. My weight loss is about 4 lbs a week. Is what my happy scales says I’m averaging so about a lb every other day. It’s so nice to see the scale moving each week.

  25. I also only eat very low calories around 300-500. 500 being a day I ate dense foods. And I will feel uncomfortable I track my moods and feelings also on my food app to track patterns. But I am going ultra low calories. Since I am not limiting any carbs fat etc. even though my stomach does not accept carbs at all. I throw it up immediately uncontrollably including fruit etc. Yea.... fun stuff.
