How much weight are you hoping to lose in total?
  2. Did anyone else travel alone - how did you find it????
  3. 3950 euros is such a lot of money - what if it doesn't work????
  4. Thanks Julia for all your help so far. Hope you are starting to feel a bit better, are you on fluids only? If so what are you having? I emailed frederick as you suggested re the packages they are offering - the one at 4000 looks really good, so think I will possibly go with that one, I am aiming for 12th September - but just wish I had the money now as I would get it done next week. Keep me posted as to how you are doing, you will be dead slim by the time I get round to getting mine done. xx
  5. Thanks Julia, I will have to see if we can sort something out with children for weekend - I was trying to keep the cost down by not taking the whole family with me. Can I ask when are you hoping to go back to work? And when will you see Dr Chris again?
  6. HI julia, You have not put me off at all, but thanks for being so honest about the post op pain. I am probably going to e flying over from Manchester, and have a provisional date of 9th September (aaaagh), but as we have two small children I will probably be flying over alone. I didn't fancy the idea of being over there for so long on my own, just wanted to get it done and get back to my own bed ASAp. Obviously with your post I may need to have a rethink about travel plans etc, but I will definitely contact Frederick re he package as that sounds ideal and cuts out a lot of the worrying too. Hope you are feeling better over the next couple of days, I have ben thinking of you over the weekend and wondering if you were OK. Keep me posted as to your progress and keep in touch Love jiggy xx
  7. Thanks Julia, this has been extremely helpful. Good Luck with your band tomorrow, and as soon as you feel up to it, please post here and let us all know how you arr doing. Thanks jiggy
  8. Hi Julia, I live quite near Manchester airport so would possibly look to fly over and would be travelling alone. I would hope to fly out on a Monday - op on a Tuesday and home on aWednesday - do you think this would be feasible. Thanks:scared2:
  9. Thanks Julia, and Good Luck with the surgery for this week - you must be so excited. I am curenly saving every penny and am hoping to have enough by early September for mine done, I can't wait. My BMI is currently 37 ish and rising. Would you be able to give me a break down of all the costs and what and when you pay etc, I can't wait to hear your progress, I will probably mither the living daylight out of you. Thamks for the web sites. I will look in more detail once the children are in bed !!!
  10. Hi All Please could you give me the web details of Dr Chris, can i ask what the stipulations are in terms of BMI etc to be accepted. I read somewhere else on this site that he turned someone down as they didn'yt have a lot to lose. I'm very new so got lots of questions. Thx xx
