How about starting to be able to see certain areas instead of trying to blindly shave there. Much easier!!

Collarbones --- I really love my collarbones now. Such a wierd thing to notice, but I didn't have them/they weren't visible for so long.

So everyone hears about the folks that are lucky enough to lose quickly and we see them lose 100lbs in 5 months but for many of us we lose slowly and feel like CRAP about it. This should be a place for us to talk about our frustrations and get advice or encouragement. Maybe you have found a way to speed up your weight loss through trial and error and that might help someone too. I know I work my ass off and I still lose slowly... and then every once in a blue moon ill lose quickly (for me anyway) but I can eat consistently in the mid 600's, Protein around 90, Water over 80oz and i workout hard at least an hour 6 days a week and i can lose - NOTHING. ZILCH. NADA and its upsetting as heck and makes me feel like complete failure. Before surgery when i did IF/ OMAD I lost a bunch of weight, way faster than I am now, barely exercised so I definitely have moments where i am like- Why did I even do this? Anyway, we all need to sound off at times or get encouragement or great advice and this is a safe place for you to do that and to know you are NOT alone.

We all have our own standards for what we think is appropriate and that’s fine, but I can tell you that tone-moderating is an unproductive line of discussion that eats up entire threads on this site.
Assume good intent (tone is notoriously hard to detect via text), and if you think someone’s crossing the line, ignore them. If they’re truly breaking the rules, report them.

smahan got a reaction from AZhiker in Sister freaking out about me considering WLS
I had thought of getting WLS for years but was never truly ready. I just had my sleeve done on 11/20/19. Best decision ever. I felt ready and confident in that decision. BUT I didn't tell me family. I of course told my husband, children and parents. That was all! The rest of my family I knew wouldn't understand and I just didn't want to be bothered with all the questions and negativity.

Thanksgiving was difficult because I was only a week post-op. So of course everyone noticed I wasn't eating. They asked why and had noticed I was already smaller so I told them. And I got mixed reactions. Some good, some bad and some just didn't care. I had one aunt that said, "Now why did you have to go and do that?" Instantly soured my mood but then I remembered I did it for my health and not theirs. My whole family is overweight and they're used to me being the same way so it's hard for them to see that I'm taking my health back.

I agree with the others here...become as informed as possible first and then make the decision on your own. I have found so much information on here that the doctor never told me and this support has been amazing. I found a video on here yesterday that made me feel so much better about my emotions, etc.

    Good luck with your decision!!

Water was really hurting my stomach too and plain water still does. I have found that when I add flavors to my water it helps a lot. Also warm Decaf tea helps too. I drink it with no sugar or anything. The warmth helps a lot
