Lisa

  4. Hi Renee and Congrats on getting this far..its a big step, but so worth it. l too am in Easthampton... Lisa
  5. you have no controll over the mechanical issues that you have had...don't beat yourself up..its a great tool when it works like it should..Until then, smile and know you are on the right road..
  6. l am definately more emotional.. Not sure it has any thing to do with burning fat...
  7. perhaps you should call and ask if your plan covers the procedure..If they don't cover it, you'll never get approved. l was denied the first time around, but only bec by Insurance info wasn't complete..a totally different senerio than your
  8. T Campbell...sounds like you never really had the right restriction from the begining. l read your story .. sounds like maybe you are on the right road now...good luck...
  9. l can't ever eat chicken, no matter what l do to it..
  10. l too, am cold all the time...right down to my core..actually have to sleep with a heated blanket still and its summer...
  11. l would think the first thing you should do is call your doctor..perhaps he needs to remove some of your fill...
  12. lm just back from a cruise and had a lot of trouble with the foods...l literally kept nothing down for an entire week except water...Be VERY aware of chewing and small bites. Foods tend to be more rubbery than normal, ie: shrimp, lobster, steaks....have a great time
  13. have you challenged this charge ? Sounds awful high...l met with my surgeon on Monday about my fee for $100 and he agrees its outragious, so if the insurance won't come down then we will settle on a fair price...don't be afraid to speak to the Doc
  14. l have Federal B/C B/S Basic and my doctor bills it as a surgical procedure which makes my co-pay 100.00..trying to get this changed. Verse's an office visit for $30.00
  15. Can't stand the new group...feel like lm at a weight watchers meeting instead of lap band support group....some of the information is very questionable.
  16. sounds like a way to get more money out of our insurance companies...My Dr doesn't use X ray and he ceratinly has no problem deciding how much to put it...Maybe bec he keeps track ...Without X ray assistance, the charge to my insuarnce company is $660.00 dollars..l can only imagine what they will charge with X ray equipment.
  17. l would say Congrats on losing what you have so far....also though, l would keep going for fills until you reach a point that you are feeling full...Sounds to be like you need another fill..You have very little in your band and you can still eat large portions..Good Luck...stand up for yourself.....
  18. l feel the same way...l get so tuired of chewing l don't even want to eat...
  19. l know l can't eat yogurt of any type..No matter how slow l eat it, it will come right back up...Even after 30 + minutes...and absolautely no fruit can l eat with it...l don't know if its texture of what. l have evebn tried licking it off the spoon so that it goes down a whole lot slower...no way...Good luck...
  20. l also have B/C Federal, basic plan...l pay $30.00 co pay for my fills, and now l got a statement from B/C saying l owe the Dr another $175.00 per fill..Appartently the Dr office charges $660.00 for fills and bills it under surgery..lmagine, l'm there in the office, no fluroscope, for about 2 minutes...and its $660.00 dollars....something is seriously wrong with this system..
  21. l was sluggisg for probably a week, but its a common problem for me after any surgery...took a while for my kidney to really wake up...or maybe my bladder...Good luck
  22. l too have all the same issues as Marisopa...Food often hurts and just sits in my stomach until l vomit..then l feel great...Most all the proteins bother me..l chew until l can no longer stand chewing. Eggs are completely out..as are yogurt, mashed potatoes, rice, pasta, bread...l do ok with soups...most days...and yes junk foods go down very well...my band is like a 2 yr old...never know when it will act up....
  23. l use senna..again, finding the right amount can take a while, but no more problems.
  24. l had my surgery 9/12 with Dr Haag
