  1. Congrats on ur pregnancys...ill be 5 weeks tomorrow and had .25cc removed on july 31st so now im at 5cc's but i feel no restriction im eatin all the time and i stepped on the scale this mornin and it went from 206 to 208 i know u have to be healthy for the baby and maybe its still 2 early but i thought in the 1st trimester id lose some weight and then pack it on...
  2. has anyone heard from EJMdiva?? did she have her baby boy yet?
  3. So i guess its time for me to join the group!! I took a prego test today (im 3 days late) and it came out positive!!!!!!!! yayayayayay...so my 1st doctors appointment is sept 2 (they wont see me til im 8 weeks)...hope all u band mommies and band mommies to be are all doin great!
  4. ok so im 10 months out and about 67 lbs down ( i need to update my ticker) so lets see here...are u exercising? if so how much? maybe u need to add on more calories to ur day? maybe between 1000 to 1300..or if u feel ur takin in to much decrease ur calories i wouldnt go under 1000 tho...also how about switchin up ur meals? maybe ur body is used to the food ur eating...hopefully this fill u just received will do the trick...ur weightloss is great for being 9 months out eventually ull be 100 lbs lighter it just takes time dont forget its a tool and the weight doesnt just fall right off u need to work hard to make that happen...bump up ur exercise, protein and water intake (but sometimes too much water will bloat u)...good luck let us know ur progress.
  5. Congrats Heather! She's beautiful! Good luck
  6. I had 6.4 cc in my band which was so tight i couldnt even drink water so my doc took me down to 6cc after a couple of weeks of my food hurting goin down i got 1cc removed and am now back down to 5cc he said if i need another fill to go back in 6 weeks for a small fill....so far with 5cc i feel great i cant even feel my food go down which is great! i say when u can feel ur food go down or it hurts its too much get some removed...if u can eat comfortably and still lose weight ur great!
  7. get a slight unfill u could damage ur band and slip or erode! call ur doctor its not good to suffer...good luck
  8. i had one week clear liquid..2 weeks creamy liquids ( soups, shakes, etc)....2 weeks mushies...1 week soft foods...did ur doctor give u a plan to follow? creamy liquids should be on there somewhere...if not call and ask?

  10. wow thats great! how does it feel to be skinny!! put some pics up!!
  11. thats a quick advance to soft foods? i was on liquids for 3 weeks 2 weeks mushies 1 week soft...could it be the advance to food was so quick and ur body isnt used to it yet? call ur doc maybe u need to be on liquids still til ur body heals then advance to mushies and then soft foods...i was told it takes 6 weeks to heal inside...good luck...nausea could also be from the anesthesia also.
  12. I agree with restless..grits? and u just got banded on the 21st? i was on liquids for 3 weeks 2 weeks on mushies ( i would consider grits as mushies)....i dont think theres any damage...did ur doc give u a plan u have to follow and what u should be eating? if the pain doesnt go away then call ur doc...but u should be on liquids til ur doc advances u 2 mushies...good luck
  13. Dont forget ur new to the surgery...the 1st six weeks is for healing not to lose weight....once u get ur 1st fill things will get better i didnt feel total restriction til my 4th fill...the weight will come off give it time....ur 2 weeks post op u need to take it easy and give ur body time to get used to the band...good luck
  14. Well i just got off the phone with my doctor..he told me to come in for a slight unfill...the burpin is killin me and my water is just sittin in my chest..soft things are uncomfortable to get down...i know its only 3 days but i cant take the feelin that everything is goona come back up especially liquids...so my slight unfill is scheduled for tomorrow at 10:15am...wow this sucks hope i dont lose all my restriction
  15. I had a fill yesterday 2 and pb'd..when they do ur fill ur stomach swells thats why ur doc tells u to go on liquids...i had thick soup which i probably shouldnt of had yet and i slimed and mucused...today im better and i slept fine last night...my doc says liquids for a couple of days then mushies and back to regular food..i hear some people say when they get a fill there stomach swells for like 10 days til they can have regular solids...hopefully it passes i feel real good restriction...the only way ill get unfilled is if i cant keep down liquids or proteins...but so far today im good i had egg salad...soup and string cheese without gettin stuck or pb'in...give ur stomach a chance to unswell...good luck
  16. i lost 4 lbs on my preop diet (i only needed to lose 4 lbs so i was happy)
  17. Usually when u go for a fill they remove what u already have in there to make sure its the exact amount they put in last time..so if u had 4cc on ur last fill on this fill he should be able to remove 4ccs from ur band...r u makin sure the calories u eat are the calories ur burnin when u exercise? maybe u stopped losin weight right this second but ur losin inches? how filled is ur band?
  18. heres a list of sugars that are tolerated: fructose (from fruits and veggies) lactose (milk and dairy) aspartame acesulfame k isomalt stevia saccharin Hope this list helps
  19. Question for u? have u not been back to ur doctor for follow up appointments? When was ur last fill? im sure u need one? what do u eat? I was told to have 59 grams of protein a day..daily fat gram range is 27-45 and max fat grams per meal is 11..simple sugars 2 grams or less..avoid brown sugar corn syrup high fructose corn syrup dextrose glucose honey invert sugar maple sugar maltoe molasses raw sugar sucrose sugar sorghum..if sugar is listed as the 6th ingredient u can eat it..hope this helps...eat about 1000 to 1200 calories a day and exercise 30 to 60 5 days a week...good luck
  20. It happens to everyone its bandster hell! when i got banded i only lost 6lbs from day of surgery to 1st appointment...once i got filled (6 weeks after) the weight steadly came off..keep up the good work ur time will come u have to be patient..good luck
  21. I eat lots of fish (salmom, lobster, crabs, flounder, tuna etc)..meats (ground 80/20)...chicken (not fried)..they all have lots of protein in them..always do 4oz meat 1/4cup veggies and 2tbsp carbs at a meal and ull be fine
  22. U sound very tight!! After i get a fill it doent kick it for a couple weeks or so...if u cant even drink water u need to get help right away...go to the ER if u have 2! But u need help ASAP..good luck
